Any help? Already tried "repair", did not help at all. The issue could be related to the fact that I try to play on my laptop with Win 7 64, while it works fine on the PC with Win 10.
Unfortunately there seem to be no upates more from MS for Win 7, am i right? Is there any individual patch one would need to download from MS individually to make the game run under Win 7?

    @Tendrielle

    I tried everything with my laptop. All the guides about ports /config files / running as admin / latest drivers. I had a fresh Windows 7 x64 build and it worked right up to the Housing update and never worked again. I did uninstalls, reg cleans reinstalls, everything and nothing worked.

    I hesitate to wipe the OS AGAIN just to play ESO on it, but I might do that.

    It's weird because my desktop is the same video card manufacturer, os and updates on it. I'm running an HP Envy.

    If you find something that works, please let me know so I can try.

    I'm also Win7 64 on a laptop. I have the same problem, started after Homestead. That solution did not work for me as HP laptops have their own custom Intel drivers.

    I have indeed an Intel HD 4600, and I deinstalled drivers, use the standard driver now, and at least ESO told me that I need better DirectX. installing this now, we will see...

    what happened is that my laptop then resettet to standard-vga-graphicsdriver, that's why DirectX is "needed" (the ESo help says, however, this error is also displayed, when the hardware is not capable of the Direct X version in need.) So no real progress.
    I guess I need somehow a better Intel Driver, too, but
    a) it does not download when you sa "update driver"
    b) the intel tool mentioned in the other thread does not install it either.
    What is strange, that my laptop claims to have a not-working AMD Radeon HD 8750M.

    I did b) properly now, seem to work. Thank you so much for the kind help!

    Yep, I'm rocking on the laptop again now! I completely removed the display driver, but other than that, steps were the same.
