Wayshrine in your homes

As most of the homes in homestead are not located near wayshrines, leaving one's home takes either some time traveling or costs gold to travel directly to a wayshrine. Why not have the ability to add a wayshrine to your home's garden? Maybe make it just like furniture that you can buy or craft and place around your home. Anyone else like this idea?

Well, the free apartment in Auridon is right by a wayshrine and you can port to it from anywhere. Home wayshrines would be nice, but you can get around it.

The bigger issue is traveling to homes when. It from a wayshrine increases the cost of the next quick travel to a wayshrine. This should not occur.

There should not be a penalty for traveling to ones home regardless of the method of travel.

Yes but no. No matter how close or far your house is from a wayshrine, you'll always have one loading screen to exit the house. A wayshrine in the house will always save one loading screen.

Can someone say who exactly build those wayshrines in Tamriel? I mean, if it was an Ayleid elfs, then it would be almost impossible to build another one wayshrine because it's an ancient technology and so on.
But if there's no lore behind wayshrines, then it would be nice to get one. They could be very expensive though.

But then the question is are some homes intended to be better than others in the same price range? Are there supposed to be equal except for the size and appearance and any other benefits are a side-effect of where ZOS could find space to put a house?

Would be great to have. Sure, I can use other homes or travel to player, but that often results in multiple load screens untill I'm at my target location which is annoying.

Since time immemorial, devout mortals of Tamriel have built shrines to their Divines at sites that have been recognized as holy and sanctified. Many of these sites were chosen due to specific miracles or blessed events that marked them, though others simply inspire feelings of reverence for matters divine. Because they are located here and there where inspiration struck, rather than at points of convenience, these sites are scattered across the land, and have come to be known as "wayshrines."
    --Wayshrines of Tamriel

They're essentially built by the locals. This is why each one is built in the local architectural style.

Thank you! So, personal wayshrine at the courtyard wouldn't be against the lore.

Hmm, I don't think so. There's no reason you couldn't get some Divine Inspiration while in your house and then build a shrine to mark the occasion.

And they are not used for teleporting anyone apart from people with umoored souls. So essentially the vestige, not the common Tamrielic folk

You could make a ring of fake ones with one real one somewhere in it. And then swap the real one with one of the fakes every so often.

No, ZOS are not so greedy. There also might be a golden recipe that requires 30 mundane runes, 25 heartwoods, 15 kutas and all motifs learned.

i would be more inclined to have attunable wayshribe pedestals.

take it to the destination you want, attune it, place in home.

that lets you port there from that home.

idea is to pick wayshrines you go to a lot obviously. only needs to go one way of course.

DAoC solved this 16 years ago by allowing you to add a "portal merchant" to your home. Worked great ..: then again they had home crafting stations, storage vault, you purchased a lot a built the house you wanted, you could hire a vendor to sell your stuff outside your house, and even sell your house to other players... UO even made it possible to build your house in the game world ... this system is such a step back in what housing can be

Agree with this. Homes should just act like a wayshrine - free travel to other wayshrines, and free travel to it via a wayshrine. It irks me that currently you cannot travel to it for free even if you go to a wayshrine.

There aren't a lot of benefits to spending so much gold on homes at this point, so at least give it this!

Is this assential so there are homes with wayshrine near them big deal thats fine for those that like those few particular homes but what about the rest they should just add this in to the homes i mean everytime i travel to my home from a wayshrine and then want to travel back out i have to pay a heafty amount of gold so it forces me to have to wait in my home for a while its like punishment for visiting my home . They could easily add wayshrines into the furnishing purchase tab and everyone with a house would buy them. I dont think this is taking away from anything people are buy homes they like not which ones are close to a wayshrine lol
