Housing instancing questions

Can you step into your house using the door in the zone it's located, or do you have to teleport in? Likewise, when you step out of your home instance will you be in the zone it's located in, or back to where you teleported from? When you leave some instanced places in this game it will port you back to where you came from instead of the place outside the area. I'm on console and this info will help decide which home(s) I want to buy.

✭Yes, you can enter and exit through the door and be placed in the zone your home is in. If you buy the house in the rift and exit the gate you'll be just outside riften6
