The Pros and Cons of Housing Feedback

While I love housing overall there a few things that need improvement. This is feedback not a complaint.

1. No weather control (no idea a pain to use furnishing editor in the RAIN!)
2. No Night and Day mode (Night great for parties, feasts and the lovers of the night like werewolves and vampires), decorating in the dark bad as in the rain.
3. Places like a manor are huge with amazing amount of room but cap limit of items allow seems terribly low compare to size. I maxed out items in the courtyard alone so now deciding what to remove so I do inside. Little things like plants, food, rocks, books and dishes should not count as a point against. Big things are fine but when you start to make the place feel lived then you run into space issues.
4. Achievements and trophies should be be under Collectibles and cap raise higher.

These just some points that could be improved. Like hear back from everyone on your take housing so far.

Totally agree about the item limit in the big houses it is no where near enough, I did exactly the same with my garden in Serenity Falls - I had my garden perfect, then had to remove lots of items in order to be able to my the inside of the house right.

Definitely need a furnishing resize option.

Definitely need a level/flatten terrain option with align.

The alignment tool overall needs a lot of work. Wall lighting and rugs choose the wrong angles. Sometimes it feels more like an reset button when working with trees and over conservatory items.

Invisible walls and slaughterfish need to be removed. I can understand vertical limits. I just don't get limiting any workable spaces on the property itself. Put slaughterfish at the edges of the maps. The biggest party foul is probably not letting us customize that little island at Hunding's. Without it, there's very little beach to enjoy.

I can live with housing being mostly cosmetic. It's the lack of polish and intelligent design features on the system that makes it feel like a beta release.

People are still going on about craft bag being the only reason to sub, but once you actually get into housing, that double furnishings is pretty awesome.

To elaborate on resizing. Maybe 20% larger on items, but up to 90% smaller. That way you can have a tabletop of achievement items, but not a house that's just four gigantic bunches of grapes.

Which really wouldn't be any worse than four Tribunal Altars. Didn't think it would be that enormous.

housing needs its own forum, among other things. <cough> storage capability, more capacity, item previews, etc.

If each housing is a separate instance without any influence on general zone, then why so strict limitation for number of furnitures inside? 100 for basic houses is way too few, why only 100? Should I buy more slots for crowns?

Not sure about the Housing limit, but I would be really interested in some workers at Zenimax doing a stress test to see how many objects can be shown on one screen before FPS suffers. At 278 items I've noticed my laptop drops about 13 FPS. Adding a limit may have been a way to constrict it so players would not end up asking why they can't have 1000 sweetrolls placed in their house. Though this does mean that on higher end systems 1000 sweet rolls would certainly be possible. Perhaps Mansions should come with no Limit to placed items (if an ESO subscriber) and 1000 items if not. Though this would only be for mansions (given the exorbitant fee associated with buying them).

Top of my list would be functional stairs. Having to make ramps for everything is just silly.

Second would be the limitations of collectibles (everything else for that matter). Collectibles need to be at least doubled across the board imo. Pets and mounts help give life to housing and I don't quite understand the purpose of such a low cap. Being how these are purchased in crown store you would think Zos would want to give some incentive to buy more of them.

Absolutely agree on 3 and 4. The 600 items limit on a large house is used up so quickly.

Oh . Ok that makes better sense to me . I'm not sure how hard that would be to make but that would be nice . Stairs too . We really do need stairs or working ladders like Evergnar said .

The item cap on companions and pets is way too low . That needs to be raised . No point buying all those from crown store when you can only use a couple of them each .

My biggest beef is the large house in Sentinal . 320K and a door upstairs to the terrace and roof are inaccessible . Most houses for that price have a yard but that one you can't even access everything attached to it . Should be at least able to decorate the balcony if not the roof . I understand it is right next to the palace but we should be able to at the very least use that door upstairs to go outside and look around .
