ZOS, please adjust 24h timers to 23h

Some things reset in 24h and 23h would give more flexibility: I come from work 18:00 then can finish up to 19:00. The next day it will reset at 18:00 again. I usually start doing something else, then need to relog or stop doing whatever I am doing to be able to complete it on time or it will be incremented until I miss the day then have to wait next one... this is so small and so usefull, other MMOs have.

Or make it reset when all other dailies.

My 2 cents.

Other games have generally done a 20 hour cycle to handle issues with timers, I would rather see that than the single hour change, although any change at all would be beneficial to everyone.

I hate eventually having a "skip day" because timers are messed up.

honestly the game would be well served with a single "daily" reset across the board. let twice daily deliver double.
horses at 18, suppliers at 20, hirlings at 24, writs at set times etc... just winds up costing some results.

Also can we have our enlightenment kick in during daily resets, not at the time we first logged in during the update.

Everyone having random times it kicks in is odd.

On EU current daily reset is 08:00 AM GMT. I see no harm in this, sync all similar for better time management and planning.

Been requested for nearly the entire life of the game and ZOS have ignored it for all that time, they clearly are happy with this.

How would you feel if they kept the timers, but instead charged you a cheap item in the crown store to speed certain things up? Or add a passive tree in some DLC to speed things up around the board?

    lol

The funny thing is : it must be so easy - an existing variable's value changed and it doesn't unbalance the game, nor they benefit from me skipping a day from time to time. It is just annoying daily experience that bothers me. Yeah, I forgot again .. this builds up as complete experience for the game. It is negative overall.

Yeah, this has been a discussed issue since launch. I still don't know why they're so stubborn about it. It just makes sense to make it 10 hr reset instead of 12hr, and 20 hr reset instead of 24hr. Most people log in at around the same time each day, which means this timer is going to be pushed further back each time until it gets beyond the time you need to log off. When this happens, you lose a day.

They have already realised this logic considering that mount feeding has a timer of 20hrs. Writs also have a good solution in that they reset at a specific time. Why they don't apply this logic to hirelings, I'll probably never know (unless someone from the company would be kind enough to respond... :)

I'm a little confused about what the OP is asking for, and why. Daily quests do not have to be completed on the same day that they are picked up on. I frequently do two sets of Crafting Writs together, yesterday's and today's. And I often have Pledge quests from several days previously.

Horse feeding (sorry, "riding lessons") are already on a 20 hour timer so you don't end up having to miss a day.

What other daily occurrences are there in the game apart from quests, hireling mails, and Enlightenment (which happens whether you're logged in or not)?

Hmm, I thought they were on 20hrs already, certainly the stables are, as is the Dark Brotherhood assistant. 20hrs is certainly better than 24hrs, I also play STO a lot and that's always been 20hrs, it gives you that leeway if you have to login a bit earlier than normal.

The problem is the hirelings, in that the once a day skill is 24hrs rather than 20hrs, and the twice a day skill is 12hrs rather than 10hrs. They reset when you log into that character and get the mail. So, just like the mount feeding would if it were 24hrs, it would build up the delay each day, and you will miss the chance every so often.

ESO hirelings are the first 'daily reward' system that I've ever seen in a game that doesn't actually reward you for logging in daily, and that includes stingy mobile games...

@baratron Easiest solution would be to reset everything at the time already most dailies are reset. Some repeatable/dailies/tasks whatever are still on 24h timer. ... and afaik the issue has been discussed so long that I am quite pessimistic anyways :)

I would love this to death. One of the things, other than dungeoneering itself, that made pledges my favorite daily for the longest time was how in a busy work week I could sit down at 11pm or midnight or so, start hammering away at them, and at 1am there would be some more for me to do before heading off to bed ^^

I love the regular writs. They reset once a day and I have the whole day to gather all the mats while questing and in the very end deliver then maybe some map will drop - pointing me to some location and because of the level scaling I can just move there and grind (or continue on the next day). No push, feel free. Think this is awesome feature of ESO!
