Lmao. This thread is gold. I've been curious for quite some time how you go about saying this properly. This as well as lich. Is lich pronounced as though you're saying, "Lick."? Or as if you're saying the word, "Hitch." but with a "L".

It's like Hitch (lɪtʃ - tʃ sound is like china, catch)

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lich

And on topic, i say drew wrongly, hate the NPC:s that prove me wrong every time :P

Which NPC's? I have only heard the NPCs call them Drew.

I've pronounced it every which way because I'm never sure which is correct. I usually try to mumble it when I say it to disguise my ignorance.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom Maybe there could be a segment on ESO Live where the Loremaster or some other expert provides a top ten guide for commonly mispronounced words in Tamriel.

This. I saved the quest from Dreughside just for the NPC saying "Dreg" in the dialog.

Where do the NPC's say "Drew"?

I originally pronounced it "drew", with the "gh" silent. That was since Morrowind, where nobody spoke the word. Oblivion didn't even have any. It was either Skyrim or ESO where I heard an NPC pronounce it for the first time - "dreg". I still pronounce it how I originally pronounced it, though.

Oblivion did actually have Dreugh past level 15 in the overworld and the arena.

I say "droog", I know that its wrong, don't judge, but I didn't hear it spoken in game or anywhere else for a very long time, probably over a year into my time with the game, so now it is kind of ingrained :D Its one of these things where you see it, its a new word, you make a little effort to pronounce it, and then it sticks haha.

In a somewhat related note, how do you pronounce rubedo? I say ru-bay-doh but I hear people say rube-eh-doh

I pronounce it "ruby do" (rhymes with "Scooby-Doo") just because it amuses me.
I have no idea if that's correct or not.
