Housing Question for those on PC with Homestead that have purchased One or More

In a couple of days those of us on xbox will have the ability to purchased housing, and we'll be faced with the same problems that you all currently have as well, so before we start to make a purchase, I have a few question associated with them.

My though was to purchase for my guild to use (I know of the size limitations etc) be here a couple I have no clue about

1. Will I be able to assign a person from our guild to manage them.
a. Select a person to assign who can come to the property
b. Select a person who will be responsible for decoration etc
2. If I currently own a banker and merchant, do I purchase another one to be at the house for use by those visiting
3. Do all the Crafting eg, Clothing, Woodworking, Blacksmith, Provisioning, Runes and Alc come as a complete package to purchase, or come included with a furnished house you purchase (mansion)
4. Does the Practice Dummy come with a furnished housing or separate purchase (mansion)
5. If you own more than one Mansion how do the bankers work for each

That's about it for a start. Tks in advance for any help and guidance

    1. No
    2. No. You place the banker/merchant in the house just like you would furniture, and then everyone who visits the house can use it. I don't think you can place them in more than one house, though. I don't have them, though, so I could be wrong.
    3. No
    4. Separate purchase

2b. You can give others decorator access, but they can only move things around, not place new or remove.

On note of the guild idea...

The home you buy is yours. Whenever a guildmates gives you some furniture to put in the house... Once it's placed it is bound to your account. There is no way to give the house to your guild, or let anyone from the guild place furniture etc. Any furniture that gets put there will need to be put there by you, and become bound to your account once placed. As mentioned above, you can give people decorating permissions.. but they can only move stuff around, not add or remove furniture.

just want to be sure I understand what you saying (sounds good to me) So if I currently own both the banker and the merch now, and I let's say buy 5 large houses, I can put one of each in each of the houses and leave them there and still can call up my banker when playing in a dungon etc

    tks

    Yes...

i have my banker, my merchant and my fence right there and available in each of my medium houses. the smaller ones too if space makes it seem reasonable.
Anyone who visits then can use them (to access their banks not mine.)
i can always call them up on the road as usual with no impact on their in-house placement.

    its great!

Remember tho, the numbers for these things - bankers, pets, mounts - in a given house are very limited - 6 for medium on eso+ iirc. So on the smaller houses it might be tricky. not sure. haven't bothered.

In one house i decorated it to look like a business with counters facing the door and my assistants right there behind the counters. the "Narsis House of Delights and Decadence" is open for business.

EDIT TO ADD: this is different than the crafting stations you can buy. those are individual items that can only be placed in one place at one time. Arguably if you were determined - you could leave them in your bank, plop them down as needed in a house you own. Use it for crafting. then pick it back up and bank it and so have it be "floating" from character to character from house to house as needed - but you cannot place them everywhere and leave them.

Bank is bank. your bank is accessible from your banker assistant in any house by any character of yours, not just the owner. there is no house specific bank or storage at this time.

Yes, that is how it works. You can place your collectibles (banker, merchant, mounts, pets, etc.) in every house you own and still use them anywhere on the map while playing. I have my banker in two houses and also use it every day while playing.

You should be able to give the whole guild access at once - and if you do it on the first one, before you buy the others, it will ask you to copy the permissions settings from another house whenever you purchasr. So not long!

You can, but the amount is limited. For example, currently for non-subscribers to ESO plus, only 5 collectibles are allowed in the manors (biggest houses). So if you want your banker and merchant, that would leave you with 3 spaces for mounts/pets. However, if you have ESO plus I believe the amount is doubled.

And of course it decreases with smaller houses.

You get a pet for just visiting the DLC zone. To get the fence assistant you have to complete the questline completely.

There is a standard (3 million health) and a robust (6 million health) version of the target dummy. I have one of each type in my home, and see no reason why you couldn't have more than one of a specific type.

On the subject of the fence, I want to point out that putting the fence up in your home does not allow someone who has not completed the thieves guild quest line to use it.

And of course it decreases with smaller houses.

Great stuff. Thanks. Daedra petting zoo will commence tomorrow. Should still have space for Tythis the slave.

Whenever a guildmates gives you some furniture to put in the house... Once it's placed it is bound to your account. .

Is this correct? I have placed items in my home, changed my mind and gifted them to friends/guildies who have placed them in their homes without issue. I've also made some larger items that I was unable to preview in my own home - so I had a friend place them in his big house so I could see it, then took it back. These were items I either crafted or found in the world - not crown store items or achievement rewards, which I know are bound.

I'm really hoping this is not a bug that will be corrected someday - because regular items placed in a home being bound would suck.

    1. Will I be able to assign a person from our guild to manage them.
    a. Select a person to assign who can come to the property
    b. Select a person who will be responsible for decoration etc
Yes, you can give anyone you want decorator permissions and visitor permissions. You will have to place new furniture items, but once they are there, anyone with decorator permission can move them around.

    2. If I currently own a banker and merchant, do I purchase another one to be at the house for use by those visiting
No, you just place them once and they stay there, but are still available to you if you are not in the house.

    5. If you own more than one Mansion how do the bankers work for each
I believe you can only place the banker, shopkeeper and smuggler NPC at one house at a time.
