Spell Wall or Empowering Sweep for PVP

for a magplar, which is the better ultimate for a defensive and then offensive move after activating the ulti for outnumbered purposes?
***i am not a vampire in this magDK meta. - no devouring swarm
spell wall - auto block and reflect for 7secs at which point you have time to sweep the guys attacking you, its great, but you lose passives from not slotting an aedric spear ability such as 15% damage block on melee attacks, and 10% crit healing, the 10% crit damage is irrelevant on this bar.
empowering sweep - 15% + 4% for each enemy hit for 10sec, undodgable, gets the slotting passives, the reduced damage is cool, that 10sec is long and you more or less can survive from the heal of sweeps, but the spell wall mitigates more..
im already running defensive stance as a reflect and not an aedric spear ability like blazing spear which was nerfed and now useless.
thoughts anyone?

iseko✭✭✭✭Spell wall: 1)You reflect all projectiles for 7 seconds. Great for escaping in combo with mist form.
2) blocks as well so cant be stunned during that time (unless the stun goes through block).
3) greater dmg reduction
Empowering: 1) also mitigates dots. Block does not.
2) lasts 3 seconds longer
3) cheaper

Reefo✭✭✭the 19% mitigation from empowering sweep on just 1 target is actually pretty damn good, though i think that when getting Xv1 the spell wall will be better to keep off the range attackers while you focus on melee, its a very tough decision..0
