they nerfed housing mats further...?

erm noted say they adjusted it to be better but removing plentiful harvest bonus and removing more common sources isn't considered "better"

Made several adjustments to the places Decorative Wax can be found. These changes increase the overall availability of Decorative Wax, and make finding it a more consistent experience.
  1. Decorative Wax now comes from a wider variety of sources, including insects and other chitinous creatures, wasp nests, barrels, urns, alchemy bottles, cabinets, cupboards, and backpacks.
  2. Reduced the chance to obtain Decorative Wax from several sources that were dropping wax more often than intended.
  3. Fruits, vegetables, and meats found in the world no longer have a chance drop Decorative Wax.
  4. Plentiful Harvest no longer applies to furnishing materials found from the sources listed above.
  5. Plentiful Harvest no longer applies to Clean Pelts.

see those bolds?
those are contradiction as hell how does removing reducing and lowering drops "increase availability"

They added some sources, they fixed some which were giving more than intended.

I don't think you're going to see a dramatic cost shift in wax, and pelts will just go back to a level which isn't almost worthless.

it makes you wonder though about what is the point in some of the now useless passives in the CP system

you even get some of the "celeb streamers" saying how wonderful Plentiful Harvest is in helping you get more of the new furniture mats, only for ZOS to hit it with the nerf hammer

So I wonder if plentiful harvest will apply to Xbox when it is released tomorrow until they give us a patch?

So it looks like they increased the overall Decorative wax, but decreased the rest. Like heartwood.

    yeah OP.. it sounds like
"Yes, we cut your pay!" (=reduced chances, removed plentiful harvest proccs)
"But hey, you can always work more to earn more! Isn't that great?" (=wider variety of sources)

Now I will get more wax than I did before. I always searching stuff in cabinets, urns, cupboards and backpacks, because there are blueprints can be found. I've got a lot of wax, and now I'll get even more.
One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.

But doesn't that mean we'll get fewer blueprints? I'm not a fan of that.

Of course they're nerfing the entire thing if it's keeping people away from the CS. ESO has been all about the CS for a good while now. The alternative is grinding the *** out of something, as to be able to grind the *** out of something else, which then requires another grind on top of that. They know there's a number of people who'll shrug their shoulders and just go for the quick option.

Of course it does. But, hey! It's a wax! More wax for the wax king! I think I need a new alt for the wax bank full of wax.

Market prices for Clean Pelts and Decorative Wax were lower on PC EU than for any other furnishing material. So they must have been easier to obtain or at least the community as a whole farmed more of them or it's simply due to the fact that they are needed in low quantities for the furniture items that people now craft the most often (tables, chairs, beds, bookshelves, desks, armoires, tents, benches, counters, etc.). In any case the supply was higher and/or the demand lower when compared to the other furniture crafting mats.

If the nerf affects only those two (Clean Pelts and Decorative Wax) then that's not a big deal for me. Heartwood is still the most needed mat though but doesn't have a better droprate than the others. I think that should be changed.

    @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_GinaBruno -

Please define insects. Do butterflies and Torch bugs count as insects? After 200+ i'm yet to see a single wax drop from them.

Since they're also referring other chitinous creatures I'd asume they're talking about insect creatures, mobs you can kill

Lol wax? Who needed more wax. Wax is the only thing you could easily stock up on in its instanced containers. I'll have to see just how wax drops in these additional places, compared to the ol tried and true method. Reads to me like they got pissy that we were running laps in Halls of the Dead racking up.

No, when I get wax in containers it doesn't take up a blueprint slot. I have gotten both out of many containers. Granted, I haven't done any farming since this update, but I feel it would be unlikely for them to change that. And I agree with others that wax was never a problem to collect so...yeah. I have like 400+ wax and less than 100 of anything else except alchemical resin (including less than 50 mundane runes).

Also I read this update to be narrow focus on just wax and clean pelts, the other material drops are unchanged.
