Hello --
Let me say up front that I understand there are probably complicated technical reasons why this can't happen -- but still, it would be Extremely Wonderful if our pets and mounts could walk around and show some animation and mannerisms when we place them in our houses, instead of just standing there looking Alarmingly Stuffed.

✭✭Yeah, I agree. It would be a nice feature. Though an issue that could be present is having to develop an AI with self generating pathing so that it won't just walk through all of your placed items. Odds are if this is implemented, it won't be anytime soon.1
