Is There A Cap on Sneak Reduction?

I'm just curious if there is any sort of cap on sneak detection reduction? With my Bosmer wearing full medium armor I'm already pretty stealthy, but just wondering if Night Mother's Embrace for stealthy TG/DB quests would add to the stealth reduction or if Night's Silence for sneak speed would be a better option?

All I can say is my thief is wearing a set of each. She pretty much runs everywhere undetected except narrow choke points. Works great for the Heists and the DB missions.

Funny, after I wrote my post I thought, "why not run BOTH" exclusively for TG and DB missions.

Not sure if there is a cap but it does get to a point where you can't actually notice the difference. For example, on a Khajiit/Bosmer with full Medium and wear Night Mother's Embrace + Night Terror your sneak radius is around 1m and you can almost get up to touching NPCs before they see you. At this level if you use more methods of sneak reduction (the collectible item) you don't notice any difference.

Collectible item? Mementos? Those give buffs?

Some mementos used to. In particular I was thinking of the Blackfeather Court Whistle which when used on a corpse used to reduce your sneak detection radius by 1m? for 30 seconds. Although checking the memento now it doesn't say this and doesn't seem to give any buff so perhaps it was changed at some point.

My khajiit (reduce detection by 3 meters) has a full medium set (35% reduction) from Night Mother's Embrace (reduce 2 meters), Night Terror (reduce 2 meters), Veil of Shadows perk from the Thieves Guild (10% reduction), and she's a vampire (sneak at full speed). I'm not sure what her detection range is, but it's basically inches by this point.

On the UESP build editor, the default sneak radius is 6.5 meters. So in theory you could reduce sneak radius to zero. What I don't understand is how there is also a detection radius, and sets like Way of Air and Sentry can increase your detection radius. For any two characters, there has to be a single value at which one player can detect the another in sneak.
