New siege weapon

How about the same ranged weapons ballista/catapult/trebuchet that fire a new effect or element?

Maybe something derived or associated with the new warden class?

I'm talking about catapulting an angry bear onto the ramparts.

A sack of swamp rot to defile them, so the vegetarians don't have to use meatbags.

A hive of wasps that stun in an aoe.

crazy as it sounds - i like this alot...give the people defending the walls something running around to have to deal with...
Ladders will not be added to Cyrodiil siege.

Zos has made clear they intend that no one should be able t enter a keep until the walls are down. They have corrected bugs and exploits that some players used for this purpose.

@Giles.floydub17_ESO is right though about ladders and enemy players entering keeps...it's unfortunate - i really thought having folks gap close or "leap" into keeps added a really crazy chaotic feature to the game...hated losing cold fire ballistas from folks sneaking up on me frequently, but - it really kept you alert...

sad part is - it also made it really easy for folks to cheat with their friends...

    open field barricades/defenses sound interesting...

Eso is my first and only mmo - what are some unique things other mmo's use in regard to siege techniques and weapons?

how about the other idea from the trailer- the rope that shoots into the wall that needs to be crossed. every siege item needs a counter- e.g. ram- oils, etc
to counter the crossing of the rope- maybe u d need a few people to chop it down while the other alliance has to cross as many people over to get up the siege, but the rope would only support say 3 at a time. strategy would come into play then- who do u send?

the siege towers are a great idea too- u could connect the two of them also.
i do hope they give cyrdoil some love- alot of players have openly said they ll never come into the place once battlegrounds open. which is a shame because the sewers and IC are some amazing spaces- and right now- i can walk thru and maybe run into 5 people.

Nothing more hilarious than trench warfare in WWII /s

Since people won't shut up about necromancy on the forums how about catapults that launch zombie versions of those slain into a keep, who are then controlled by the "flinger" remotely as if it were their own toon, and make the dead person watch the combat through their eyes, helpless.

I don't think it count as seige. But very effective for ground troops. I want to see mounted combat. Just like our ancestors of old. Used to do. In war time. Long, long ago. For example. Knights and horse back archers. This will be so awesome. For PvP.

That would be fun as heck, even if you could onyly do certain abilities on horse or have a different bar when mounted.

Siege towers, only deployable from resource flags, requiring 12 people inside to trundle to the walls, so defenders have time to destroy them with ballistas.

Ladders, which defenders can push back if not enough attackers are climbing onto them.

    That'd be fun :)

The problem with that is that there would need to be a new counter created for Mounted Attacks. Otherwise there will be no ground combat. Everyone will mount up and that would be it.

They already have caltrops that dismount people, only seen maybe 1 person use it tho.

Less skills available would make it not as appealing, such as light, or heavy attacks only

I don't love the idea of ladders or siege towers because it doesn't really give defenders enough time to react before the keep gets taken. Also with a siege tower you have to create a minimum distance from the keep that it could be deployed to make it fair and the topography would make this a little difficult since its not flat in all areas around the keeps.
