Hey,

Bought the game at release, got tired of it very fast, and went back to WoW. Now really really tired of WoW, and it looks like ESO have gone through some great changes or addons to the game....is it worth coming back for considering how the game was from beginning ?

I know ESO cannot be compared to WoW, and Im not looking for a replacement for WoW, I really like the old Elder Scrolls games, though never finished any of them :(

Right now playing Dragon Age again, in lack of other better games, but consider to try out free to play ESO again

The game has changed heaps from launch. Definitely worth giving another go. Besides if you already have the game you've got nothing to lose.

If you own the box cost you nothing to try it out, no one can really answer your question because we all have different ideas and goals in our game play, for me yes the pve in the game is fun they have added a lot, I used to pvp a lot until the cheaters and exploiter took over so I do not do that as much, but it is all opinion no one can really answer for you.

Everybody says ESO is way better now than it was at the start. Also, I heard you can play ESO with no additional purchase if you bought it earlier when it was subscription-based.
So, I don't see any problems here, download the game and try. Since One Tamriel update there's no limits, you can go anywhere and do anything you want, the game scales your character's stats to others.
One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.

This game is awesome now, and with Morrowind releasing soon it's a great time to return to ESO.

The game is largely improved from how it was in the beginning, but it is still wanting in many areas (performance, PvP, end-game content, meaningful progression, dreadful customer support, gouging from ZOS). We can't therefore say if you should or shouldn't try it again, but as you already own it, you have nothing to lose by giving it a free month or so, you may be pleasantly surprised.

What were the things that made you tired of it first time around out of interest?

In my honest opinion this is not the perfect time to start. On feb 6 eso got a huge patch and due to patch a lot of things are broken now. So if you start now the bugs may shadow the beauty of the game, but overall the game is exceptional.

    I'ma simplify it. @waltercz

Play for the story and the easy-ish overworld gameplay. The writing is absolutely great, and the DLC zones get even better.

Stay for Endgame content -only- if you are the type of player who is willing to do anything necessary to win. Grind, learn a rotation despite not having fun with it, that sort of thing. This game panders to the people who are willing to put aside their own fun for the sake of success, and if you are not, it's almost not worth geting into endgame.

PVP is better in other games, flat out. For honor, which is being released either today or in a few days, is much better if you want a competative experience. Seriously, the PVP system in this game is terrible, but that's generally from someone who hates how most MMO's PVP.

TLDR: If you plan to do endgame content, look up a guide, build from that, or flat out dont. If your here to do the content and have a good time, maybe do a normal dungeon every once and a while, then your fine.

One of the best things about this game is you can't really screw up a character upon starting. I played path of exile recently, and you can put 100 hours into that game and realize you have to start a new character... but here you can fix pretty much any mistake with in game gold in the end. Except for race, which you can now spend real world money on to fix if you're too dissatisfied.

If you bought it at release, then you already own it. Sub-fees are not required.

Well if you left early you are in for an treat, first questing has become a lot better, most of the old bugs are gone.
All content is leveled to your level, sound stupid but it works pretty well, benefit is that you can pretty much do stuff in the order you like, you can even start by doing all the group dungeons :)
Downside is that you can not go back an zone and kill everything with one hit :(

If you dislike the basic game mechanisms they have not changed so you will be just as disappointed.
Else just download it. You might buy ESO+ for an month to test thief guild / DB it you are huge fans of them
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Once the bugs hit you OP, you'll change your tune. When you realize a lot of these bugs have been around for years, or performance issues have been around for years, you'll be back in WoW.

You lost me at *went back to WOW*.

Here's the thing... Elderscrolls is a series. Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowing, Oblivion, Skyrim and now Tamriel. This isnt something that was always an MMO.
The other thing is... if it is an RPG, they're all WOW with a different skin.

Once you realize those 2 things, then you can pick a genre of RPG and not expect anything from it that is unrealistic.

And those of you getting ready to say *it's not a wow clone* go play WoW, LotRO, Rift, etc and stop. They all play the same. Only the story and graphics have changed.

    @waltercz

You already own the game, just use the Launcher and get the update and log in. There is no sub fee. Unless you Craft and want the Crafting Bag to hold all your mats, then you might want to Sub.

The game is more TES now than it was at release, in that you can go anywhere and play anyway you like. Yes, the Min/Maxers out there will tell you there is only one way to build a character, but that only applies if your wanting to be in the top 10% of trials, or master all 1vX PvP like a Boss or burn down Vet Group Dungeons bosses before the Mechanics come out.

But you can go to any zone, and play any content in any order you want. If you just want to play the content and level when you level, you can do that. If you want to level a character up quickly to CP160, you can do that too. If you just want to load up a character and explore and putter, you can do that too. If you want to become a Crafter, you can, if you want to farm for dropped sets, you can.

So, the game is of the "What you make of it" type of game that appeals to TES players and fans than, follow this rigid progression pattern or you will regret it of WoW and other traditional MMO's.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I never been a fan of "is it worth it" post as it seems to bring out partisans on both sides and ends up in bickering.

You have the game take an afternoon give it a try, then you will have made your own mind up without influence.

You can level a Templar to Champ Rank in 10 to 20 hours. (I am assuming your sorcerer is in the Champ Points)

Yeah it's very different, but the flip side of the coin is, everyone i know has moved onto ARK on the PS4. :( I think out of 10 people I had on my friends list, only 1 has stuck with ESO in recent weeks. 3 of them I'm assuming are never coming back as they gave all their stuff away and claimed to have deleted their characters.

Unless you are ready to give up WoW completely, i don't think you can really concentrate on ESO.
