I couldn't find crafting stations for sale in the crown store even though Id read that they were available there. So, Im wondering if these things were available in the public test realm but haven't been completely rolled out? Or, somehow I missed the tab? I looked under housing and furniture.
If you purchased functional ones, where did you get them?
Maybe they are only available from a vendor? I only found one vendor so far and when I clicked on her furniture tab it was completely devoid of anything. Not one thing for sale.
also, WOW, thanks for the news on possible gardens. OMG I would totally love that! that and a few chickens please!
EternalDiva wrote: »If there is a way to have real functional crafting stations I have not figured it out. I cant even find a "store" that sells furniture let alone crafting stations. Im assuming there is some questline that leads you down the path to creating for your home, functional or otherwise. However I do not know what it is.
I googled and all I know so far is keep acting like a thief, steal everything in hopes of finding some kinda blueprints. Did find one crafting seller who sold some super basic blueprint items like a table top and I think a chair, a box..nothing I wanted. I didnt stumble on another until I went to greenwood but everything he had seemed to need vouchers?? and I have no idea what those are.
Im probably googling the wrong thing. but so far, kinda frustrated. defo not as easy to get onto as other crafting professions like clothing or blacksmithing.

I think housing is, in any MMO, a pure vanity thing. It can possibly serve as a community meeting place for RP folks or guilds, but I really don't see the point, cause you can talk in chat and discord anyways. Why inconveniently port to another place to have guild discussions/meetings?
Personally, it's a relief that I don't give a damn about housing... I've seen ppl invest hundreds of dollars, gold and time into buying the house and then decorating it. When I log off from game, it's not like my character is freezing to death on the road, so why does he need a house? when the same gold, time, and money could be invested on other contents like PvE, PvP gearing, crafting, and etc.
Crafting stations pretty useless function.
Who crafts gear with no set bonus? Very dumb.

So I do not have DLC... You're saying I can goto someone's house with a DLC crafting set, and hence I can make that DLC set without the DLC???
Awesome!!!
Thank you, best news I heard today!
Try to place a wall picture too far inside a wall or any other furniture too deep from fixed housing borders and it's lost forever - cannot pick it anymore, although you can still see it. Crap functionality.
Crafting stations btw for decon and learing traits only, main purpose.
Is it just me, or is it a little weird how @Stevil seems to be in every housing complaint thread, expounding at great length about how wrong everyone else who complains is?
Almost everything you said is wrong actually.
The crafting stations can be used, you can even get ones that can be bound to a set, so you can craft the set in your house.
The 'manniquin' is actually a training dummy.
You can put up cooking stations.
You can put books into shelves.
Yes it is true there is no storage function for items.
And yes this is phase 1, they said they would add gardening at a later point, but did not specify what they actually mean with it.
If it is only going to be a cosmetic thing or if you can actually grow your own ingrediants.
I hope this helps you
EternalDiva wrote: »I was excited when I found out we would finally get houses. Houses were one of my FAVorite things in elderscrolls games before there was an online version. Now Im reading I can put a craft station, but its for looks only, no functionality. A trunk in the room cant hold anything. a manniquin cant be clothed in gear. The fireplace wont cook and well, there are no books to gather and put on bookshelves but it would still be nice to have bookshelves and be able to put things on them.
So, hmmmm. Its like the only point of having a house is to make furniture for it. Non-functional furniture.
Im hoping this is just phase 1? and maybe a phase 2 would provide more functionality like our homes in the original elderscrolls games?
Also, Ive just been previewing the homes and it seems like many of them are geared for folks who just have money to burn. Im already burning money by purchasing expansions and paying a monthly subscription fee. Really disappointed in the exorbitant pricing on top of what Im already shelling out.
Its nice to have a house. but really, what can I do with it?
