Anyone got some good ideas for new siege weapons?

Id like to see some form of ladder.... but since.ladders require a load, what about

Stairs on wheels? They already have stairs like at BRK, but if we overlayed it on a battering ram, and maybe require it be placed a certain distance from the keep? Would be a game changer.

    Siege towers would be neat, as long it took a few minutes to get over the wall with it.

    A giant mage's staff set up like a ballista. It would require several characters channeling magicka into it, and fire laser beams to burn through keep doors like a battering ram.

    Ladders, rocks you can drop on people climbing the ladders, some kind of craftable barricade, maybe something related to defending the towns. Something that takes time or control of the resources to prepare.

    I want something like the trailer of the elf shooting that green beam making the wall explode.

    I could be some kind of siege weapon requiring 5 people to charge it up. They would have to sacrifice 50% of their mag/stam and 50% of their mag/stam recovery for the next 60 seconds.

    The beam would melt a wall or a door during that 60 seconds.

    To be honest I would just like to see the siege we have now actually be effective instead of players dancing in the red because of insane heals.

    To be honest I would just like to see the siege we have now actually be effective instead of players dancing in the red because of insane heals.

    It's cleanse/pruge that make siege useless against players, no need to spam heals and drain your resources. I'll often stand out in front of siege to attract counter-siege while on my Templar. It relieves pressure on the zerg sieging behind me. IMO it's the way it should be. If you want to kill players come on down off that wall and engage in combat.

    This would definitely change the dynamic of sieging a keep. It would allow players to possibly take a keep with doing minimum damage to the walls and gates. Meaning they wouldnt have to spend too much time repairing. And the momentum could be shifted to the next keep sooner.

    Zos has made clear they intend that no one should be able t enter a keep until the walls are down. They have corrected bugs and exploits that some players used for this purpose.

    Believe me I do come off the wall and even sometimes use siege in front of it.
    But siege used to kill players as it should be a zerg buster.
    When you are few defending against many you need artillery to be an equalizer.

    Agreed, but if they design a siege tower attack that is similar to the time/effort it takes to bring down a wall, it would add a cool dynamic to sieging. Of course, they will also need to design a competent counter siege tower attack.

    My suggestion is to create a trebuchet that throws actual players into the keep. Hahaha...can you imagine the scene of 20 trebuchets launching players into keeps? I know it's not realistic, but...

    This is a great idea; having it assembled and then slowly moving towards the wall. That would be really awesome.

    Honestly if you had to put the siege ladder so many feet away and the sleed was slow enough, it could work. Also once its placed, it doesnt move. Imagine dropping oil down that thing.


    What about a bunker instead of a camp? Has a ballista in it similat to the bow ult, requires you to destroy it to take it out, does aoe dmg upon being destoryed to those inside or near it, being shot with range weapons while inside do more damage since they have to be head shots, but you also have 20 percent dodge chance.

    ZOS has stated they were working on Dwarven siege weapons some time ago... but it's hard to know if that's been scrapped or not.

    With the fact that seige doesn't stack and we already have 8-10 different things we need to carry (seige, repair kits, door repair, wall repair, camps), I have enough crap clogging my inventory. We dont need more.

    How about the same ranged weapons ballista/catapult/trebuchet that fire a new effect or element?

    Maybe something derived or associated with the new warden class?

    I'm talking about catapulting an angry bear onto the ramparts.

    A sack of swamp rot to defile them, so the vegetarians don't have to use meatbags.

    A hive of wasps that stun in an aoe.

    How about mines? Sure would be a rude awakening for that massive zerg group charging the keep on horseback when suddenly the entire field starts exploding

    They should make the Scattershot Catapult knock enemies down. Maybe give it a reload time of a treb, but they should have a siege weapon that hits enemies with a hard CC.

    It would negate all other siege and I think the wall needs to be down to capture the flags. Certainly to cease transit.
