I'm torn between Morrowind versions

Is anyone else torn between getting the standard upgrade and the digital collectors edition of Morrowind?

The only thing that has prevented me from already pre-ordering the DCE upgrade is that from what I can see all the additional functionality is entirely cosmetic (at least with the Physical edition you can feel like you are getting something of value for the extra money).

What are others thoughts on this?

Really it depends on just that, if you like alternate skins and cosmetics. Also, how big of a fan you are. If you just care about gameplay and combat, there's no reason to get the DCE. Personally, I'm a huge fan of The Elder Scrolls, so I bought the Physical CE. If I wasn't as big of a fan as I am, I probably would've just got the standard digital upgrade because for the extra $20 between the standard and collectors, it's not really worth it for just the reskins IMO.

Edit for clarification: I believe the physical CE is worth it for $100 because you get the expansion, statue, book, and map for a decent price. (Even if you already own the base game)

Thanks for you comment, that was my thought as well the Physical CE is worth the cost (if I could justify it to the wife!) but there seems little in the DCE to justify the cost.

I have played all the main Elder Scrolls games since Daggerfall, and have several of the collectors editions along the way, but the DCE seems a lot of extra cost for a few skins that I probably won't end up using anyway.

    Buy now or buy later....

Buy now if you want physical items at retail prices

Buy later if you only want the physical items and are willing to bid on sites like EBay or maybe find a lot later traded in at certain stores
