Furniture Placement Feedback

I think this is a simple way to improve on placing furniture in a home - make surface drag apply to every surface on an object. As it is now, surface drag only applies to (what seems to be) a single point on an object (usually on the bottom). As a result, placing objects near each other poses the risk of them clipping into each other if they feature irregular shapes, which many things do. Also, it would be nice to see a snapping mechanic similar to what exists in Fallout 4, even if only for a few simple objects, like planks and blocks for adding to homes. It would be nice if I could take the open floor plans of the larger homes and create my own hallways and rooms with placable walls that snap into place. What are your thoughts?

Yes. Also, the simplest improvement I could think of is a basic grid overlay while in the housing editor. It's so hard to eyeball whether something is straight, especially with the dark interiors (nudge nudge).

They need to have an easier way to move an object straight up and down while you're placing it. The current way is really awkward.
