Decon all the intricate stuff you can to lvl your crafting skills.
You will probably be close to maxing stuff as you level. There are plenty of guides and options on how to do it. So it make your eyes do more than cross. Just take it slow.

For the equipment crafting skills you earn a lot more inspiration (crafting XP) from deconstructing items (items that you didn't make yourself, anyway) than you do from crafting items, so decon everything that you're not going to wear or use for trait research. Unless it's ornate - if it's ornate you're probably better off vendoring it.ThePaleItalian wrote: »Start researching now. It will pass as you level.

So what I should be doing with all items that are not upgrades to me I should be deconstructing them and just crafting w/ them?

Yeah, if nothing else, start researching traits as early as possible. If I were you I'd also start doing the equipment crafting as soon as possible, because leveling goes so much easier with crafted gear sets. Provisioning and alchemy are easy to level at any time, and aren't super important while you're leveling. Enchanting is the longest grind for leveling a crafting skill, so you might as well start deconstructing every glyph you find now, even if you don't bother putting any skill points into any of the enchanting passives.

Gather runes, raw mats, flowers, waters, food ingredients, recipes, but no need to advance Provisioning or Alchemy until around level 50. For the most part, use no skill points for any craft until you have plenty to spare. Exceptions are points in speeding research, keen eye if you have problem spotting mats, and extraction if you start refining raw mats (hope you have a craft bag).
There are tons of post for the specifics of HOW to level each craft. The WHY is to be self-sufficient, and now, to get a chance at Master Crafting writs.

I actually added the ESO + today, but the crafting thing is a big chunk to chew when you first try to tamper with it, I've watched videos and the like, only 1 really broke things down so I could easily under stand it.
Thanks again for the help, I'm gonna get on the crafting leg of the game tonight and figure it out.

and researching is about researching the traits of the weapon?'
Edit:
ahh I see, you sacrifice the weapon to research the trait. and it takes hours for it to be fully researched.

However, it is unfortunate for you that you have joined the game when Crafting is at its least useful and most grindy.
All The Best
Well I'm not what you might call a smart man, but something tells me I better start researching.
Thanks everyone for your input and I'll for sure check out your guides!
