So, one thing I've noticed in this last patch is that Elemental Drain doesn't aggro enemies. Maybe it didn't do that in the past, but I know it used to aggro guards. Now it doesn't which is great.

So, now that Radiant Aura is widely used, can this also not aggro enemies? Would really help to be able to cast it before battle begins but not pull aggro. It doesn't do any damage, it just applies a debuff like Elemental Drain does.
Make PC NA raiding great again!

Elemental drain never aggroed enemies. The times you think it did was because your weapon enchant activated.

As far as Radiant Aura I can not comment since I never used the spell on Live vs. PvE enemies.

Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

Well, I guess I never noticed in previous patches.

Either, way, it would be great if radiant aura never aggroed enemies.

I just wish to have both repentance and radiant aura slotted. Just a tiny dream. No destro for eledrain, no slowpoke siphon spirit.... but throwing away repentance is not an option.

I agree that it would have been nice to keep repentence for 4 man groups, but I have weighed the options and the trial groups I run with have zero use for repentence and its not worth me remorphing it every single time I want to run a dungeon.

I still have to run a destro staff for elemental blockade :/

You post had me thinking about healers counciling, but here I am thinking this was click bait or maybe you assume all healer are Templar?

But I sorta think this skill deserves to aggro enemies considering all it does. But unbiased reasoning, siphon will aggro, in fact it's kinda wired elemental doesn't. Maybe they only feel a tickle from drain and a real drain from siphon spirit or are blinded by your radiant aura.

Not only does it aggro, but has a lot of area range as well. Which makes this spell dangerous.

I was doing fungal grotto II yesterday and was accidentally pulling the adds from the corners during the Reggr Dark-Dawn boss fight. Took a wipe before I finally realized what was happening and why the adds were moving in. And since we were doing the dungeon without a tank the adds were complicating things (the tank was a pampered whiner who left after I got tired of listening to his stupid and pointless lectures and initiated a vote kick which offended him and his friend to the point they left, which was a good riddance). So if this was happening to anyone else using this ability that's probably what was happening.

I guess my point is that I agree with you. They need to remove the aggro aspect of this spell. Not only would it make sense to align it with other debuff spells like Elemental Drain, but it would make the spell more tenable to use in situations like I describe.

When Update13 dropped the stun from my blazing shards, it caused many complex ripples for my templar healer. She went from resto/resto to destr/resto. Added EleDrain and Wall. Dropped Purify and Repentence. If EleDrain aggro'd I'd go back to purify. I hated losing repentence but since I tend to heal at +12m distance it was hard to justify in a very tight slot loading.

Without Blazing Spear's brief stun, the small decrease in CC nudged Wall in to help vs the inevitable extra foes that draw closer.

I will say my recent changes improve her ability to buff magicka fighters and allow her to work a bit closer to the action.

So many fabulous magplar/healer skills, so little slots. . . .

Unless someone is running lightning wall (prob a loss of dps for them to buff group) healer will likely be asked to run it so still Rstaff/dstaff.

No, you are right that not all healers are templar.

But pretty much every trials group I run with has templar healers. No benefit of other healers tbh.

The range is huge. I was pulling whole rooms finishing up some public dungeons over the weekend. Really suprised me. It maybe good on a Templar tank to initiate combat and give some utility.

That Eledrain does not aggro is a huge plus. My elf can 'paint' a whole group of foes one by one, then pop on her mutagens & extended ritual all before we draw first blood.

Purify instantly aggros foes - like with zero transit time. The millisecond you cast, foes charge. Wonderful ability but only if you cast it while shards is still in the air enroute to them.

Siphon spirit aggros foes as well. That combined with its lack of debuff and long cast time keeps it from normally earning a slot.

Would love it if Repentence's 12M radius was from the corpses not the healer. That way I could pop some corpses out in front and they could push their goodness forward another 12M from there. If that makes sense. If I get close enough to effectively use Repent then I draw too many foes which interferes with being a healer. Urg.
