after patching recently , after i log into my account it sits at loading screen forever, and never even gets to character select screen, and when i say forever, i mean hours and hours and hours. just sits there stuck, and so i can nt even play the game, what can i do?

    same here, since patch i keep getting endless loading screen,
    than after a while "make sure you have a valid internet connection"
    haven't been able to login last 2 days,

    After finally getting the patch loaded today, I haven't been able to get into the game either.

    I can enter my credentials, then I get the loooooong load screen which finally ends in a boot back to login with "Error 308...lost connection due to inactivity. Please log in again to reconnect."

    I have tried the troubleshooting directions, restarted my PC, and still over and over I can't get into the Character Selection screen.

    This is incredibly frustrating.

    Since the update last Thursday i have been unable to log into the game....
    The Launcher starts up and it even did a small update today but when i click on the 'Start' icon....it just sits there not connecting.....i've un-installed and re-installed ESO via steam plus i've also 'Repaired' the game too.....still the same problem....updated graphics driver....still no luck

    Please Help !!

    We had this issue and here is what fixed us:

    The Uninstall doesn't actually remove all the game files. Once you run the uninstall make sure to go into Program Files and manually delete or rename the Zenimax folder and then reinstall - then the game will actually reinstall with a full fresh copy.
