I thought Pete Hines said that it would be sold at any store that sells games. I guess he meant the standard edition. I don't like that it's exclusively sold at certain stores.

Not sure what was said and who said it. The ESO Pre-Order Site is only listing 5 places for the physical collectors edition for USA, not sure the country you reside in. You can check there for your country .....I thought Pete Hines said that it would be sold at any store that sells games. I guess he meant the standard edition. I don't like that it's exclusively sold at certain stores.
I check yesterday, Amazon shows the physical collectors editions not unavailable for PC/PS4/XB1. GameStop still had all platforms available ......
Best Buy and Walmart are still not showing it at all yet, they may at a later date. It may be the retailers issues and not a ZOS issue. ZOS cannot control how they update their online system .....
If you really want a physical collectors edition, I suggest you find a retailer with it and purchase before they are no longer available. ZOS only issues so many, the number they have not released. Once it is gone, you will be not be able to purchase thru normal sellers (not counting an eBay seller) .....
