First off, The only reason people are still subbed is for that crafting bag perk.

    Secondly read this:
    Hi everyone!

We've been seeing a lot of confusion over Enlightenment and how the system works, so we wanted to explain it a bit more thoroughly for you. In simplest terms, Enlightenment is a bonus for the XP you earn while playing that counts toward your Champion Point progression.

Every 24 hours, you receive enough Enlightenment to earn one Champion Point at the rate of 100,000XP per Point; after your Enlightenment is used up, you will return to requiring 400,000XP to earn a Champion Point. The 24 hour timer starts when you log in with your first Veteran character or unlock the Champion System, whichever is first, and resets every 24 hours after it first starts. You will receive a message on your screen that you are Enlightened, and you can also hover over your XP bar to see if you are Enlightened.

If you end up not using up all your Enlightenment while you play, it will continue to accrue for a maximum of 12 days. Once you hit the limit, you will not gain any additional Enlightenment until you begin to use it by gaining XP.

I sub for the xp, and the gold increase, and the craft bag, and the 1500 crowns a month, so no, that's not the ONLY reason.

If you were to do a poll, What I mentioned would win the overall vote Sigtric. Who cares about reaching maxCP (clearly not allot considering Rich Lambert stated only around 5% of the player base has actually achieved it in an ESO live video). What's there to rush for?
Who cares about the added xp bonuses when you can actually play the game and create Psijic Ambrosia plus receive a 10% IIRC, for being in a group of two.
As for crowns I have no issue with, They're handy but for anything of actual value you need 3000+ so that's a 3month sub for 1 item!

again, The only reason "most" people are ESO Plus subscribers ( including myself) is for that craft bag...

    Back on topic now*

...So we will ignore all the people who subscribed before the crafting bag existed? Like me? And many many others?

Your choice of course, I only subbed when the crafting bag was released as did most (not all) people I know.

Without it, as I said in my previous post, you can get everything cheaper without subscribing, sure if you want to support Zos every month thats up to you.

Paying my sub every 3 months is £100 a year. Plus Morrowind expansion £29.99 making £129.99

I just bought a 2nd ESO account, with all download content (Gold version) except "Shadows of the Hist" for £20

I log that character in on my 2nd monitor to use as storage as and when I need it.

I buy the Morrowind expansion, £29.99

They release say 2 new dlc in the next year, say 3000 crowns each

So I need to buy 6000 crowns,

5500 crowns are currently £24 and 750 are just under £5

So I've spent £20 on the game, £30 on expansion, £29 on crowns for DLC. Total cost £79

A saving of £50 this year Not sure if the current price is the normal crown price or if it's discounted, but I will only buy crowns in sales anyway , and of course next year the saving will be £70 as I won't be buying ESO again.

Now if £70 a year for extra xp and extra gold (I can get 100K a day just staying in one public dungeon) is worth it to you , then who am I to disagree, personally I just came to the conclusion that while I like the crafting bag a lot, it is NOT worth £70 to me and I don't need the other stuff.

Once you get in the CP 450 area one day enlightenment of 400,000 is no longer enough for 1 CP a day.

I don't even understand the need to make fun of this. I think it's been explained so hopefully the OP knows how it works now.
10% more xp here or there, sooner or later we'll all be CP over 9000!

If only there weren't only 3600 total. ;)

if you were always at enlightenment, it means you were never gaining enough XP to reach 400k/per day or whatever is the enlightenment rate.

I would gain a champion point every few quests. I just did a few more than usual and barely managed to acquire 1 champion level.

    Simply put

With enlightenment you can twice as much XP for champion points that normal so that's a huge difference.

Additionally, each CP costs more than the previous. Slightly more but it adds up. It's to make it easier for newer and returning players to catch up.

I've thought about this for a while in traffic and I guess I now get the point the OP is trying to make, its maybe badly worded. I take it now to mean he FEELS the xp rate is slower, at points.

Bear with me (or bare) here.....

So we know maths mean 10% gain = more XP in terms of actual numbers. Done.

But say he never broke 400k before. Every time he killed a 1k monster he got 4k XP. Say he always hit about 350/360k. Every time he logged in he killed a set amount of monsters and always got the 4k per kill. Now, he hits a point where he's killing 4 times the amount of monsters for the same XP, therefore it feels slower. He could indeed feel its better to stop and wait for the next day.

Overall XP earnt is clearly higher now, but the feel of progress and real time spent is slower? Right?

I've been in bad traffic and gone mad but I think I now see the logic behind the situation? Or have I lost the plot?

I like the way no one subs for the dlc's...

But yeah only reason i sub is craft bag, xp is useless at i'm 730~ cp or something and have 8 maxed characters, the gold is pretty useless and gold drops aren't great even when farming dungeons or such, the crowns are nice i guess.

Actually i sub for the crowns + bag

    @TequilaFire
Actually, that spreadsheet was out of date even before the latest raise of the CP cap.

My XP per CP has been sitting at just over 400k for a long time now and i'm way past the CP445 threshold shown in the spreadsheet.
