One time Alliance change Or Alliance token purchase.

Wouldn't it be nice to have that one time alliance change for all those characters you started so long ago.
When I started I did not know about the all Alliance any Race Perm token till later on from the Travellers pack. Only after that I was able to create the characters I wanted with the Race and Alliance I always wanted to join , so now my problem is wanting to take all those hard long many hours played characters from so long ago and amalgamate them all into the one Alliance I choose or have most hours into or something like that .... OMG just figure out how to give us a one time Alliance change or token purchase!

Others MMOS have a "betrayal" quest when you can change factions through a quest line...

btw. Shouldn't ZOS first fix this issue / exploit when you can just log off in one character that is lets say in faction "A" in for example "Trueflame" campaign and then log in with character "B" that is also in camping "Trueflame" - is other words swapping teams...

I prefer a crown store token with similar prices like the race change and with a cooldown of 30 days for that character I applied such token. This way people wont abuse it.

why ? whats your problem you like to cheat by using your other characters to join another alliance and help your true alliance out by sabotage ?
    Hope this doesn't happen

Like I said a one time change to amalgamate all your character into one alliance and only into the Alliance you have most time spent into .
  • leon9214
    leon9214

And exactly that it will fix, the issue with logging out and cheating and going into a different allaiance to spam or help your true alliance , with all your characters using the same alliance you cant cheat by joining into another alliance with one of your other characters.

Now I have to think that your the one trolling with the above quote , the reason I said what I posted is on Xbox Eu Dc are outnumbered by Ep and Ad I would be concerned that more Dc would convert to either of these , therefore increasing the unbalance .
    P. S not everyone is out to troll just because they don't agree with your opinion I would get used to that if you going to post on here

I agree that this could be a thing, but it should be long and perilous. And it should make you feel bad.

Yeah. You should feel bad you should kill Razum-dar for example if you want to leave AD.

You should read before posting , like I said amalgamate all your characters into the one alliance you have most time spent into and this is a one time change . SO if your EP your still going to be nothing changes just your other toons now can play with whatever allainace you spent most time with in the first place.

Wow what is your problem I read your post I just know that they won't implement it the way you would want if they do ever go ahead with this idea it would be that you can change any character to any alliance , p.s this must be the 1000th thread discussing some kind of alliance change

100% behind this. Have new friends in the game met questing and can't fight with them in PvP land. A one time change would be epic.

LOVE the betrayal quest idea too, tho enough people betray their allowance with scroll runs already haha!!

Wow really don't know what your problem is I read your post but since this must be the 1000th post discussing this idea in any format , I just see Zos if they are to do alliance change not to go with this idea but Allow players to change any of their characters to any alliance , and if you can't take criticism to your posts maybe then the forums aren't the right place for you

As I usually mention when this comes up, I wouldn't mind some alliance change option - if done -right-!

As in, not just a service token that pops you over to a different alliance, but... some drawn-out guild-DLC-sized spycraft themed questline, beginning with an "loyalty called in question" plot, where you then get to make a very big choice - stay loyal to your alliance and find out who framed you, or escape your alliances guards to defect to another faction, grabbing some secrets to bribe your new masters into taking you in...

This sort of questline might revisit some known locations, places used in the story questlines with new mobs... thus reusing some of what used to be "one-off" locations here and there. Might also benefit from a new location, some neutral "diplomatic meeting place" city somewhere between the alliances (isle of stirk, maybe?), where the spies can meet to spy hard... and speaking of spies, also including some familiar faces. After all, who would not love to slam a porticullis shut into Razum-dars face moments before you join Naryu on a boat to Morrowind? ;)

Also, there could be nifty titles for your choice. Like "[original alliance] Loyalist" if you remained, and "[original alliance] Defector" if you turned traitor...
And there also should be consequences in PvP.
For one, while you can't just loose your alliance rank (because those come with skill points you may already have spent), you may be required to re-earning in your new alliance it before you get to advance any further...
For another, noone trusts a defector right away, so it might be plausible to have reduced AP gains for quite a while... or increased AP costs for the new alliance vendors, reflecting the lack of trust.
For third, your former comrades will be feeling somewhat vexed at the "betrayal" and eager to dish out a hefty dose of "justice" on the battlefield... and gain triple AP for taking down such a "traitor" or something like that...

I really, really want this for one of my earlier initial characters as well. The character is my main, but I never get to PvP with my guild with him because he's of a different alliance. There is no way I am going to delete him though, because he is also my crafter (who knows every style) and is my achievement character of which he is quite far. I really want to switch alliances though, so I can properly play with him with my guild mates!

They should sell alliance change tokens in the crown store, but prevent people who uses them to enter any PvP campain untill the current one is over. That way people can't use it to jump to the winning alliance all the time.

    My opinion is this.
You shouldn't need to pay or obtain any token at all

Your PvP alliance, which is all it's there for now, should reset every time your campaign resets.

If you don't join a home or guest campaign, you'd have no alliance affiliation

The whole account should be one alliance, when chosen up until the campaign ends.

To me that's how it should work and that allows ppl to switch in a normal, but non disrupting way
The ability to pay AP to change factions would exist but possibly work slightly different.....

If they did this it should be a quest that was only available after finishing all of the main alliance quests (Cadwells Silver and Gold, the ones that reward skill points for completion).

If it were a quest it is important to note that the only reward could be the alliance change. No AP, XP, Skill point, loot item, no achievement, no title, perhaps some gold. There must be no other incentive to do the quest other than changing your alliance.

I would love to change alliances, even if it's only allowed once a month, or once every 60-90 days. ZOS worries about people faction hopping, which is a completely trivial worry. We already have so many people faction hopping already. A lot of people I've met in game have more than one endgame character in each alliance, and they jump back and forth between them for PvP.

Besides, who gives a flying **** if they do faction hop? What the hell are they going to hurt?

Player 1: *switches to Daggerfall character* "Hey guys, Ebonheart zerg is moving south."

Player 2: "No sh*t Sherlock, we see them."
