Think about that for a moment, would you like the ability to turn gained AP from PVP into Gold? it would give PvPrs a way to make a decent amount of money without being forced to do PvE content and would allow PvE players who want to PvP to still earn their gold while not questing.

Ap is already easily transferable to gold. Buy something with AP then sell it in a guild trader. This causes the value of AP to fluctuate and prevents abuse. Because if people are exploiting ap, like done recently, it will devalue what ap/gold.
I am against pegging the value of ap to gold.

    there is no "other" option

my "other" is that they would have to untie the link between AP and "Rank XP", otherwise it just means that you buy your AP and get the Rank in the Alliance Skill Line

anyway...the nasty rumour is that yet another currency is being added with Morrowind (yet to be confirmed)
on top of Gold, AP, Tel Var, Writ Vouchers, Crown, Crown Gems...what a nightmare that would be

This is turning AP into Gold, Do you see any mention of turning gold into AP around here? I sure as hell didn't mention that.

No, ICR where, but they increased price of AP jewellery to stop AP conversion into Gold.
Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 25 DLCs. 41 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game.

As annoying as that would be, its another gate to prevent non-dlc purchasers to get at the content.
The new gear may even all be BOP as well.

I would - simply because I mostly PVP - but aren't in a trading guild and aren't really interested in getting into the whole trading mini-game. So I'm ALWAYS gold-poor but AP-rich. Oh, and inventory-space-challenged too since I never sell anything and have probably deconned or given away loads of stuff that's worth a lot of gold - just to free up an inv slot...

Would also be nice for people like me if you could sell stuff on guild stalls when not a member of that guild - but at a much higher commission payment.

No because the whole value of gold is based on the economy. If ppl could just farm AP which turns into another way to farm gold, what would they buy?

You need items of value to purchase or sale via AP not gold. It all works full circle

    Let me guess...

You just swapped Cyro resources with a friendly "enemy" guild for an entire day, abusing the new, large AP rewards for capturing them. You now have 5000000 AP and it occurred to you that if you had 50000000 gold instead you'd be very rich.

    Did I guess right?

From your standpoint, something like that does sound like a terrific idea. The problem is the rich would get richer. The guild in the stall closest to the wayshrine would get an inordinate amount of that premium commission money, and it wouldn't be long before the guild has enough cash to prevent anyone ever wresting that first stall away from them, ever again.

Seriously its a Video game, none of it is real who cares about the imaginary economy? many are here to have fun not to be stressed by having to grind gold.

Here is an idea, make it so guilds cant control the same stall for 2 months in a row.

its pvp currency, you can buy for this items which can sell for gold
at all if someone dont pvp he cant convert his gold into ap to buy something, maybe zone boxes instead of running from boss to boss like bot

I playing some pvp, have few milions of AP and I dont want to convert it purely into gold, always was 5 ap into 1 gold while selling items bought for ap
if you want convert purely ap into gold then maybe 10+ ap for 1 gold
ap are to easy to farm for those in top with their farm zergs, its much much faster to farm in compare to gold in those farem zergs and only they will have benefits from this converting whle average player on cyrodil can just *** on this because he isnt able to get huge amount of ap in this same time as farmzergs

"who cares about the imaginary economy?"
Might as well ask who cares about the imaginary history of this game series and add dragon mounts, pets and enemies, as well as unicorns.

I like to see AP as reputation. If you have enough, you can "ask" for siege weapons and battle gear, at the cost of reputation. AP is just like the gold stars in kindergarten: You get them for showing effort, and if you get enough, you get to pick a toy from the box. But it's not an actual currency and its options are limited.
