What is the advantage of overcharging for skills like meteor or elemental storm?

It activates at 100 or 200 but what is the advantage of overcharging till 500?

    nothing. Wasted ultmate is all you receive unless you are a sorc.

    only reason to "overcharge" is to use the ultimate when its needed, and not just at random :) like at bosses, and not the last sets of mobs before boss

    I think the only reason ultimate can be "overcharged" is because the sorc ultimate, Overload, uses X amount of ultimate per light attack, meaning you can fire off all of your stored ultimate via light attacks until the ultimate has run out. This is the only ultimate that can use all stored ultimate. Every other ultimate resets your ultimate count to zero upon use, (no matter how much it costs) so unless you are using Overload, the extra ult does you no good and is wasted.

    Death stroke gets a cool animation if you use it at 200+ ultimate. It used to deal more damage if you did that too.
