Not sure if this is a bug, or if I'm doing something wrong in Blacksmithing

I've been leveling blacksmithing, and I am at lvl42. I'm doing a daily writ, and it ranks me with making voidsteel gear. I need two helmets, which works fine, and two padrones which also worked fine.
Then I needed to make five daggers. When I make them they don't count toward the writ. It just stays at zero.
What am I doing wrong?
