Please Help Me With Morph/Skill Choices (Info inside)

I'm using Dual Wield, and was wondering about some of the skills for PVE.

- Which Morph: Whirling Blades Vs Steel Tornado?
- Which Ultimate: Lacerate Vs Death Stroke?
- Which Skill: Is Path of Darkness worth taking as a decent AoE attack?
- Which Skill: Is Trap Beast a better version of Fire Rune? I use a Stamina build, so was just wondering.

And finally, if I want to level up the 'Siphoning' skill line of Nightblade, can I just keep the Siphoning Ultimate on my bar and gain XP? Or do XP gains for skill lines not come from Ultimates?

Thanks guys.

    Take Steel Tornado and Lacerate.

Path of Darkness just got a facelift, and it was still worth slotting before that, so definitely.

Many Magicka builds actually run Trap Beast for the Minor Force, so it's definitely worthwhile for Stamina builds. It's actually one of the stronger DoTs you can run, too.

The more Siphoning abilities you slot, the faster it will level, and that does include ultimates.

    Awesome, that's a great help.

For Lacerate though, which morph should I go with? Also, what makes it better than Death Stroke and its morphs exactly?

I'd say take Rend. Doubling the damage of the DoT is really worthwhile.

Choosing between Lacerate and Death Stroke is mostly a PvE/PvP argument. Lacerate deals far more damage over its full duration than Death Stroke, making it stronger for achieving high sustained DPS in PvE, but Death Stroke has far higher initial damage, and it also has a substantial stun, making it really strong for bursting down other players. In fact, the stamina morph of Dearh Stroke, Incapacitating Strike, is one of the strongest PvP abilities in the game.

If you are going stam, then path of darkness and really any siphoning skill is not going to be useful. Path of darkness did get a nice buff, but its a magic skill. It wont do crap on a stam build, same is true for all of the siphoning line. If you go magic, then they are the bread and butter of your DPS.
