DW on Magplars

I know that Magplars typically have DW on front bar and inferno on back bar, but on my Magplar doing this just chews up my magicka. I have to essentially make sure to only use witchmother's (the max magicka and magicka recovery one), slot ele drain, and use channeled focus while pumping myself with potions. My question isn't necessarily how to sustain but rather if DW on front and fire on back is much better than having inferno on front and resto on back. I plan on having bsw on front and moondancer on back with grothdarr so I feel like this setup can keep me topped off enough so that I don't have to slot ele drain.

If you want max dps, then dw swords is the best way.

Just run lich on you backbar for sustain and you are good to go

The bonus 8% damage to staves and the slight nerf to Dual Wield off-hand sp/we power brought the two closer together. However the loss of a 5-piece set bonus still makes dual wield much stronger for pure dps. Only way you make up that difference is with a sharpened detruction staff from vMSA.

Note that if you are going frontbar destro and using sweeps as your main DPS skill, it may be worth testing lighting staff frontbar (as sweeps is AOE).

Well if I have a bsw inferno on front and moon on resto I'd still have two 5-piece sets along with grothdarr. Only thing is that I'd have to make sure I'm on my resto bar before activating any synergy. Sure, that few seconds is a dps loss but it's less of a loss than when I just spam heavy attacks after my magicka is drained and pots are on cd.
