Im just curious as to what gear everyone was thinking of using for the warden in stamina & magicka! And what race lol.

My initial intention is to make a Bosmer bow build with a nice bear to run interference. Maybe a set like Briarheart would be nice for that build.

If stamina options are limited then I'll likely go with a pure healer build (again, with a bear as backup).

My plan, at the moment, is for my warden (khajiit) to run 7/7 heavy, 1h/shield front bar, and frost staff back bar, with an even split between magicka and stamina perks and attributes. The character would be built as a pure tank.

The idea is you can block with the shield until stamina runs low, then swap to the frost staff and continue blocking while stamina regenerates. You swap back and let magicka regen while you use the shield again.

My hope is that this build setup will allow me to effectively use any spells or morphs I want without having to worry about stamina or magicka specifically. Of course, damage output won't be great, but that setup should be able to survive anything.

I'm also hoping that the bear puts out enough damage to help when soloing with that setup.

I have a pretty strong feeling that Magicka DPS Wardens will run 5 BSW, 3 Moondancer/IA, 2 Grothdarr, and 1 vMA Inferno.

That can be ran on any m build. Imo Winterborn and Ysgramor like DK if it has really strong frost damage would be the ice version

Meh. Ysgramor suffers from the same problems as Silks of the Sun: Losing damage from a health-based 2-piece, unaffected by Major Sorcery (biggest downfall), and locks you into one element. Considering all those things, you're probably universally better off with BSW+Inferno or Julianos/Scathing+Lightning.

On the subject of Winterborn, how does it work? Does it have a cooldown? Because if it doesn't, it could potentially be a very strong set, assuming the Wardens have several frost damage DoTs. The proc chance seems really, really low, though.

No cool down :) I was testing it on Wasps by Rawl. It has an extremely similar if not same animation of the immobilized roots from frost. On the wasps it would knock them straight down with a thud, I doubt it knicks down a player though. (Haven't tested at all in pvp, i need another ring for that)

It was dealing about 8k in some cases (too bad it won't crit soon for me 15k will be sad to go lol)

Winterborn has a 2 second cooldown from my testing (almost a year ago). The animation is the same as the 5th round VMA 2nd boss attack (the ogre that self heals). An ice spike comes out of the ground dealing damage and snares everything for 2 seconds in a 4m radius.

Wasps are cold damage vulnerable, that's why they got knocked down

If you plan on playing a magicka warden with the bear pet, necropotence would be the set to wear

That's the beauty of the bear being an ultimate. It will scale with whatever stat is highest, so it will work for both magicka and stamina builds.

We also don't know if there's temporary summons, like the ranger enemies that can summon wolves or senche's. I'm pretty sure necropotence works with those, doesn't it activate when the NB summons a shade?
