Light speaker set

Muddy_Chaves
Adds spell damage and damage to resto staff abilities. Does that mean every tick of healing springs? And would this be a good set to give a healer some dps capability?

Kinda yes. More spell damage -stronger healing..for instance the buff from entropy makes all your heals stronger too. Don't know if this set good. Bis healing set us spell power cure tho. As a healer try to wear sets that are supportive for whole group

Gossamer or Aether Mending are probably the best two sets to pair with SPC for a healer right now. Light Speaker will not increase your dps as the extra spell damage only applies to restoration staff abilities, not to everything.

@Alanar. What about IA? Any reports of testing it after update?

The extra spell power will help if you're trying to get extra credit ... by adding in some DPS for the group or trial raid.

But as the other post said, your group-mates like it if you supplement SPC with a group-friendly 5-piece.

    That generally means:

    Worm
    Aether
    Sanctuary
    Gossamer

IA is significantly less useful now. If you have a single magicka sorc using lightning in the group, that already gets you around a 55% uptime on Minor Vulnerability, and IA now requires a full heavy attack instead of a single tick, so it's takes more time to proc minor vulnerability that way. If you want a higher Minor Vulnerability uptime, I'd recommend using a Lightning Glyph on a Charged Destruction Staff instead, it's only an 84% chance to proc instead of guaranteed, but it will proc off of Elemental Drain (or a light or heavy attack) and thus is less expensive in terms of time.

Light speaker actually adds damage to resto abilities. So grand healing would damage enemies.

Have you tested this yourself? I'm skeptical. If it does add damage, then it works differently than every other similar set in the game. It should add 450 to your Spell Damage stat, which affects the strength of restoration abilities, it should not actually add damage to your restoration abilities.

I haven't tested yet. Just found it on wiki. Says it adds spell damage to resto staff abilities

Yeah, the damage system in ESO is sort of opaque. When you see "Spell Damage", it's referring to the stat on your character sheets that affects the strength of all Magicka-based abilities. If it were to actually add damage to restoration abilities then it would say something like "Magick Damage", "Flame Damage", "Frost Damage", or "Shock Damage".

I happened to have a full set of Light Speaker, so I tested to confirm and yes, it does increase the size of the heal but does not add damage to healing abilities.

The set will help with Force Siphon and its morphs, however ... since there is damage in addition to the AOE heal.
