Just came back... what should I be doing?

Have one max level Nightblade at Champion level 30. I've always enjoyed the story, and the combat is a good mix between WoW and BDO.

Best ways to level? Best content to delve into? Can I even do the new content with my gear? I'm sort of a completionist and have a hard time ignoring the other two faction story lines, but if I remember it isn't that great once you've done one and overall very slow leveling for just a few more skill points.

As a competionist, you should be doing everything.

I kid, I kid, but not really.

With One Tamriel, you can do everything in any order you want. Dungeons are a good way to level, do quests while you're queued. Hunt skyshards and lore books as you go and work on your crafting.

That's kinda my point. I need to prioritize what I should be doing, and I have no idea what to do. And I hate being inefficient and wasting time with things that aren't going to get me ahead.

Yup, what I told you is the most efficient way of going about your business.

That's doing 4 things at the same time.

The other option is to sit around with your thumb up your butt while you grind away at mobs in one area over and over again only to find that you're not getting better gear, skyshards, lore books, achievements, etc.

Grind out CP to 160, then a few 100 hours grinding out gear to be allowed into raids, will need 600 cp for that by the way, then grind out a few 100 more hours to get BiS raid gear, in your free time run vMA a few 100 times for the weapons you need..... or just decorate a house, which also will take a few 100 hrs to grind out the recipes and mats you need...or $100.

^ yeah... don't do this. Don't focus on a single aspect of the game until you become bitter about the grind.

There is a ton of questing/PvE to do with all the DLC content to date. Turn in quests, do daily undaunted pledges, grind Craglorn and Wrothgar (DLC). You'll be on your way to the current CP 600 cap.

Do not spend a ton of gold on top shelf gear until you are CP 160 (gear max level). Use blue placeholder gear to level in the meantime.

Thanks. That's helpful everyone. Just needed advice on where to begin. Being so used to BDO grinding and remembering Craglorn was all about grinding I was little disheartened at first I had to go back to it. I'm sure it's still faster, but I can stomach questing and such being nearly just as good. With BDO it was GRIND>GRIND>GRINDand then GRIND some more in order to see all that hard work get eat up by RNG. Game is fun, but the end game is total, I don't wanna say garbage, but just not even a little bit friendly to anyone except the hardcore gamers.

At least you don't lose exp when you die... at you don't lose 72+ hours of work to RNG and never getting the upgrade you want.

The grind in BDO vs ESO is incomparable. All that game is, is grinding mobs and carpal tunnel. Did I mention the billions of gold you will spend in order to upgrade your gear and if you fail to upgrade it you have to spend another 500 million to get your weapon back to where it was before you tried?

Grind to CP 160, then if you want a ton of money then start farming mats by running around zones and deconing items you find, and then sell the mats you get. If you want good gear setups, begin by doing undaunted pledges to get cool and powerful monster helms or farm zones to get nice 5 piece dropped sets.
