The Breton. The creation of the Altmer themselves. A breed between Atmorin and High Elf making the perfect race. All the magical power and talent of the High Elf and the unnatural spell resistance of their Atmorian ancestors. Taking on their Atmorian Ancestors human like appearance except for their ears, the new masters of magic have arrived.

Hannibal Travrn was the most powerful magic user in the history to Tamrirl(tied with Zurin Arcturus) he sacrificed his soul to protect the COC. Travel Soul was so powerful that he was able to render the most powerful High Elf magic user in history(Mannimarco, the God of the Nectomancer) spells useless.

Zurin Arctus was also most likely a Breton. His race is unknown but it's doubtful Talos would have an Elf advisor confiding how much Wulfharth despised elves.

I know it's hard to except, but the Bretons are it...even a High Elf in Solitude in the 4th era says Sybille Stentars grasp of magicka is absurd for a human...

Hannibal Traven wasn't that powerful, he would of been nothing compared to Vanus Galerion, Shalidor, Miraak, Divayth Fyr, Neloth, Several members of the Psjiic Order, The Arch-magister of House Telvanni, Abnur Thran, Savos Aren, Pretty much all the Dragon Priests, Lord Harkon, Valerica and he wasn't as powerful as Mannimarco, if anything his sacrifice was pointless, by the time I fought Mannimarco in Oblivion my character was far more powerful then the King of Worms.

The human races at least look human in ESO, in many ES games even they have looked a bit potato headed.

Sadly elves still look like crap in ESO with bug eyes, contorted facial structures, and in the case of altmer, skin colors the shade of someone that is about to hurl.

I could care less about the beast races - I don't play play them in any games.

Pelinal is truly a creature of Sithis! He is not a "man" (yes and no) but rather the Avatar of Sithis.

Inherently this means Man is a race of destruction and chaos - the antithesis of Nirn itself.

Akatosh and his energy of creation lead to the Mer (thanks to Aedra too)

So the lore that man was created to bring about the destruction of Mundus is true.

Shor/Lorkhan are not the avatar of Sithis. Shor might very well be the aedra(?) devised by Sithis to bring the whole thing down, but this was when Auriel and his cohort were wandering spirits. The children of Shor are mankind in Elder Scrolls. Shor is the heart of the world. I'm not sure Shor did what Sithis would have wanted even assuming he was sent by Sithis in the narrative. It seems to me while mankind and Shor may have been at war with some of the Aedra and Altmer, it would be strange to think that man is only about destruction and chaos. Its also worth noting, Elves have Dremora-like features, and have large swaths of their culture that worship daedra. Think of the Chimer, Velothi, and Maormer. Even many of the ancient Altmer were followers of the Daedra. I wouldn't go so far as to assume Elves are all about creation, their history is very destructive.
