Razer Chroma feature not working.

I read in the patch notes that there is now support for razer Chroma and that it will work automatically if the Synapse is installed...

I am here to tell you that it is not working automatically and the game causes my saved lighting profiles to not function until a PC restart. Not sure what's going on.

I want to see the new chroma lighting effects for this game but it is not working at all.

anyone else having issues getting this to work....

I have a razer Black widow Chroma, Razer Naga chroma and the firefly mouse pad.

None are functioning with the game as they said it would

mine automatically overrode my saved prefs

...and the colours are way off too.

yeah mine doesn't do anything. All the game did was trun my keyboard stock green like it came out of the box.

None of my custom lighting profiles will work after trying to run the game. I have to restart my pc to get my custom profiles to work and this games feature doesn't work at all. It only glitches out synapse and makes me have to restart pc.

did u switch off any security settings like allowing Chroma Apps to not load? Just from a security perspective i would think that would be an option, to not allow unsigned or third party chroma apps to load or something.. just in case you know.. malicious code etc..

I am not entirely sure what was wrong, but it had to do with Razer synapse.

I uninstalled synapse then reinstalled it.

It works now, but i agree, the colors are terrible. They are very light shades. A dev should go in and use a brighter code.

Also , there should be a lot more interaction with the keyboard then simply being red, yellow or blue and having the R key change to white when Ultimate is ready.

There should be blue, red and green flashes for resources being low. THe ability 1-5 should be a different color. Things like that.

Zenimax,

Thank you for trying to make the game more immersive. Please do a better job next time explaining what you are doing and how players can opt out when it involves players peripherals.

I fixed the issue myself and hope you will take this advice in the future.

If anyone is having issues with your Razer Chroma products running lighting other than what you had by default. Here may be a solution to get it back to your default.

1. Open Synapse
2. Go to Chroma Apps
3. Make sure you switch OFF

When I turned this off, my programmed lighting returned to what I intended. I don't know if this is what happened. I don't recall what my setting was, as I never used this and no game ever auto-integrated with my Razer peripherals.

So this worked for me. Good luck!

I had same issue with ESO overriding my setting for the game. Since I was having issues with the game even letting me login, where I had to do a fresh install of it, I thought that maybe the keyboard lights broke. I even got to the point of pulling up my warranty for the keyboard and was ready to call it in. I know you think it might be cool to make the changes So it goes with alliance color, but when not in game I had no lights at all on the keyboard. Please just work on your products and leave our personal products ALONE. Between having to install the game again and having the game mess with my keyboard I am second guessing the pre-order of Morrwind and my ESO Plus membership that I have had since day 1.

My chroma keyboard just completely turns dark as soon as I hit "play" from the launcher now. I never had Razer Synapse installed, I just liked the colorful keyboard the way it came out of the box. Now I can't see my keys at all unless I turn lights on in the room. It works fine when I'm not running ESO.

Do I have to install Synapse in order for my keyboard to light at all when I'm playing now? Is there somewhere in game settings I can turn off or opt out of the new changes?

Yeah, the supposed color for alliances is awful, it looks like a muddy green for AD and the only other difference is the 'r' key is bluish.

It sort of works on my Orbweaver in that I get a dull blue for my DC character, a dull red for my EP character and an even duller yellow for my AD character.

But that's all I get.

I've remapped my Ultimate hence that key doesn't glow white when it's ready.

Hopefully a modder will do something with an addon that lets us tailor it to our own desires
