Alchemy Master Writ: Some Advice?

Hey guys,
I am really stuck with my Alchemy Master Writs. My first one I have been asked to make a Essence of Spell Power potion with the following traits.
Breach
Increase Spell Power
Spell Critical
Progress 0/20
I am so very confused, surely my Snake Blood trait from the alchemy is negating the Breach effect? I also use the Potion Maker addon to help, but I seem to be having no luck and I am running out of herbs flustering myself to find the right combination. Am I doing something fundamentally wrong?
