    It's all about the statue.

    I guess this is also why I could care less about any confusion some people seem to have with the difference between DLC and Expansion. To me the software is free since I'd pay 99$ for the statue alone.

    Just like back in the days when you could buy Linux in stores. You weren't "paying" for the software it was for the books and years of support. The OS was "FREE".

    They of course both have great appeal, so it really depends on whether or not you like the physical items that come with the physical collector's edition. I myself was so enthusiastic about Naryu's Journal that I ordered it on the first day. On the other hand, you need to pay extra to make sure you get the goods on release day, while digital upgrade folks will be able to download with more certainty.

    Interesting... I just hopped over to Amazon and right now with Prime savings, I only paid $29.53 for the Physical Collectors Edition pre-order. ;) Since I already bought the PC Digital Collector's Upgrade, but also have a copy of ESO on PS4, I ordered the PS4 version through Amazon. For $29 who could resist?!?

    To make matters worse, not only are they coming out with this statue edition, the Bethesda Shop just announced a limited (100 copies total) Black Sacrament Ledger. $300. I was thinking, no way. Then I pictured filling out the ledger with the names and photos of my enemies. Then I pictured my wife finding out I paid $300 for a ledger so I could put in the names and photos of my enemies.

    Death Note notebook is $9.99 on Amazon. Just as effective.

    What's the point in buying a collector's edition if you don't get any, you know, collectibles?

    Digital, when I saw the physical one was exclusive to Game I decided it was better to actually get the game on release with digital.

    I'll buy the physical tat on eBay later if I decide I really want it.
