Yes, I put in a 13 hour day with small 10 minute breaks every so often to eat and such, but in the end I found 1 homestead motif... a green Orc Cup and 2 heart wood. Is this a bug?

I don't know if this is a bug or my luck is so bad, I wanted to try and get a few things for my 'house' and this is so grindy I feel like I'm in BDO and hard to get that it makes it so less fun. No one wants to trade motifs nor do they make the prices fair for furniture or found items (which I understand why, it's like a trip to the dentist).

Also, why can we not fence items aka treasure we find and place it in our house?

13 hours? Either the RNG hates you or you're not doing something right. I logged on for forty-five minutes last night and found five.

The new mat drop rate is pretty bad, but the blueprints really aren't. Are you looting backpacks, drawers, wardrobes, and so on? There are also some white recipes (for really, really crude furniture) from vendors. Also, there are furnishing vendors in most cities who sell some (again, really, really basic) furnishing items if the RNG still doesn't favor you.

I have been farming beside OP the entire time and I have a vastly different rate. I have been gaining at a greater rate and we have been gathering for about the same amount of time so I cannot say that the drop rate is "low" for me. So there has to be something more than just a "low" rate or the "RNG" being so unbalanced that one player playing the same time gets such an insane difference in loot gain and this isn't just the first time but a continuous problem for OP.

The drop rate for heartwood and bast is low for me. But I've gotten a lot of regulus, mundane rune things, decorative wax and that alchemical whatsit stuff. I've talked to others who've gotten bunches of heartwood but not so much some other things.

I think it is just rng being rng. But, yeah, the drop rate for materials does seem low overall. Not so much the blueprints. I've found several already. I can't make everything I've found, of course, but I can make a few things.

What were you doing specifically for those 13 hours to only find 1 blueprint? I would have at least 150 in that amount of time if I was specifically looking for blueprints....

Resources are dropping at a good rate for me. Blue prints on the other hand, are proving difficult to come by.

OP has found one blueprint and 1 resource. In 13 hours. I have found triple that. So.... There is a problem somewhere.

The only problem is RNG. While questing I come across blueprints and resources all the time, but it makes me wonder if it has anything to do with crafting level?

I've found the hardest thing to get is Heartwood. I loot a lot of food because I'm the guild provisioner amd thats where I get a lot of decorative wax. Recipes seem to drop fairly well, I've even gotten some duplicates. But the heartwood - that's slow. I've found 12 in two days.

I feel as if the drop rate of heartwood needs to be higher because it's used in more items than bast or other items. I currently have 25 bast in my crafting bag, but no heartwood because as soon as I get it, it's gone to make something. In guild chat, I'm hearing people say the same thing.

A slight increase in the drop rate for housing materials would probably be a good thing.

I have a few cities I farm on the regular in between pvping, I usually come away with at least one blueprint per city/location. Ive probably looted 20 or more since homestead dropped - mostly greens and some blues (I guess purples are only earned from the master writs?).

I just buy the Heartwood I need, and keep my Bear-Dog outside so he doesn't eat the furnishings.

They drop, they're just rare--I've gotten two so far.

I spent one hour of stealing from dressers and found 3 green and 1 blue furniture motif, and like 4 Decorative Wax. Your annual sacrifice to RNGesus must have been lacking.

While looting was mentioned by OP, the general issue is not the looting alone. It is the combination that one (and from the comment two) or more players can get almost nothing in the span of days/hours. That is a huge difference compared to other players and should be generally evenly random for all.

Still farming mats for an Khajiit banner, one thing I do is to deconstruct more as it looks like we will need far more tempers.
