I switch them around a lot, but currently ride the Striped Tiger loyalty reward and run with a brown dog that looked so sad in his crown store picture.Now he runs around barking happily as I fight bosses.

On my Nord, I use a wolf pup and wolf mount.
On my Khajiit, I use the Clouded Senche-Leopard, and currently she is petless.

mDK uses the Nightmare horse and Infernal Sep Adder
stamsorc uses the white wolf and either the white wolf cub or the pocket mammoth

The other ones I don't care enough about yet, they just use whatever

pet wise i use the ice wolf pup .... mount wise it depends on the char ... for my char Ðårk Ŵølf (mDK) i use the Doom Wolf mount... for my char Ŵølf (new mSorc) i use the Atro Wolf mount and for the others i mainly use the normal Wolf mount

I am a crown store *** (but not crates!) & my different characters have different mounts & pets suitable to them.

My Khajiits ride either the sparkle kitty or lion with black or white senche pets. My female altmer mage has a nixad (?) & grey horse. Dunmer has fire horse. Argonian rides the glowy guar plus lynx. Redguard has wolf & desert fox. Nord rides a bear with wolfhound. Two breton mages have white or dire wolf with badger & bear cub. New altmer has elk plus wolfcub. Gave other pets/mounts as well.

Gods, I need help. How has this become my life?!

Senche lion or lioness mounts usually, though I have the black senche that was only available on pc (I'm on ps4 now, transferred).

I have the black striped senche and white striped senche pets, but I'd really like to get a senche lion/lioness pet

Khajiit NB I use the black senche mount and pet.
Nord Templar it's the white wolf mount and wolf cub pet.
Dark Elf Sorc is the nightmare horse mount and Daedric scamp pet.
Argonian DK is the Hist guar (or the Banded guar) and the Haj Mota hatchling pet.

Has to be my cave bear with the cave bear cub! They go great together and when idle, the cub stands on its hind legs and swats at a butterfly. Pretty darn cute if you ask me!

Nord rides a bear because a mammoth is not available. Has the dog out most of the time.

Khajiit rides the Senche loyalty reward and has the beta test monkey out usually.

All twelve of my characters have their own mount/pet combo

Of my two main characters, my templar has the grey wolf mount and swaps between the lion cub and the fennec fox pet, and my Sorcerer has the white and brown spotty horse and a baby red wolf pet, which I got with the only 4 crown crates I have bought and ever will buy (I was kind of hoping for the wolf mount at the time, but am glad now that I got the pet, he is very cute)

Depends on the character but usually senche tiger, dro mathra and zombie horse for mounts. Pets, beta monkey or one of my deadric scamps. I wouldn't call any of those "generic" lol!

I change them out for zone appropriate Mounts and Pets.

I also tend to avoid Pets and Mounts if there are the same type of critters to kill in the zone. So, no Bear Cub Pets in Wrothgar for example.

I also tend to avoid mounts that look like they are abusing my characters. The Bear Mounts look like they are shaking the rider apart, and the camel mount looks like it will give a massive head ache and motion sickness to the rider, so I avoid those.

Pets get in the way during combat and create lags in trials, so I don't use them.
As for horse, I'm using white horse, since I got imperial edition on release.

Currently using a crappy guar. The first one that went on sale. I understand mounts are a big selling point for ZoS but I really wish there were some cool mounts we could earn in game through drops, rep, and achievements

For me that depends entirely on the character. By now, each of mine have their own, individual mount... though most do not use a pet. Not in the field anyhow.

No pets. My dunmer sorc rides the fire horse. And Templar healer rides the frost horse.
Though I think I'll pick a different one for my healer and use the frost horse for my warden when the time comes.
