heard some stuff regarding the Twice Born Star set.

well i heard or should i say read that the Twice Born Star set gets nerfed when the housing patch comes which might be out for PC already tho im on console. (PS4)

is it true? and if so what is the nerf/change?

some say it because the sets with damaging/healing proc abilities wont crit but Twice Born Star dont have any proc abilities so thats not it.

Yep. TBS doesn't suck but it is certainly not BiS next patch on any build due to changes made to Crit Damage. The reason for this is because it allowed you to gain high damage when Major Force from the Aggressive Warhorn ult was active. I liked it this way as it was crafted yet competitive with the other BiS DPS sets.

The changes:

Major Force: This buff category’s Critical Damage bonus is now an additive bonus instead of a multiplicative one (consistent with all other Critical Damage bonuses), but its value has been reduced to a 15% Critical Damage bonus to compensate from 30%. Total Critical Damage bonus from this buff remains unchanged.

Minor Force: Reduced this buff category’s Critical Damage bonus to 10% from 12%.

With almost everyone using Thief and Shadow as their two Mundus with TBS, and crit getting significant nerfs in this patch, TBS simply does not provide the DPS boost it used to. Monster sets do not crit anymore, making TBS useless for 2/7th of your armor pieces. Minor Force reduced from 12% to 10%, Major Force reduced from 30% multiplicative to 15% additive. Crit ain't what it used to be in Update 13 and with TBS geared toward maximizing crit damage, TBS was nerfed. TBS not nerfed directly, but an indirect nerf is still a nerf.

Most likely it's the crit damage is getting nerfed. I don't think it will be a noticeable difference unless you're trying to improve a trial run by seconds.but I maybe be wrong.

**edit** minor force gives 10% not 12% now

he is talking about TBS because the changes to Crit Damage directly effect the usefulness of TBS. TBS is NOT BiS if you are not using Warhorn (Major Force). Rearming trap (Minor Force) also greatly effects the usefulness of TBS. I am on PS4 and have not actually tested any of the changes myself yet, but I will be doing testing when we get the changes AND the DPS dummy
.....yes there are probably a handful of DPS builds that use TBS and not use Thief and Shadow, but they are few and far between

so its an indirect nerf for crit dmg from other stuff. (not a nerf to the TBS set imo)

ok seems the stuff i read about is nothing to worry about since im not using crit builds much (or doing trials much) or using the Thief + Shadow combo.

hmm i heard some using the multiple mundus stone exploit but i think its patched right?

also a guy (on gamefaqs) said that ZoS was gonna change the 5th bonus for TBS so it gave a 50% buff to mundus stone buffs instead of 2 stone buffs at the same time but based on the answers here then it was not true. (i wonder how it be anyway if it was)
