In Cryodiil, it's very much so done on purpose, and/or sending the salty tell and then immediately putting that person on ignore so they can't respond.

I get them ALL the time from well known decent players. These people do not like to die, at all and will let you know how bad you are.
I usually just go offline when I gank these days, but folks are right. The mail system works just fine, as some of these folks are so dedicated to trash talking they will pop you a mail in the event they are /ignored or you are offline.
Rage tells used to amuse me and could be entertaining. However these days they are just getting old.
As to the OP, it is on purpose. They whisper you how unfair, bad, unskilled you are and then put you on ignore, thinking that will send a message or bother you. Which I suppose works on some people, otherwise this thread would not exist /shrug.Here since Beta.

- Anytime they block you, you won.
- Anytime you switch to offline and let the salt flow, you lost.
- Anytime you block someone, you lost.
Aussies love a bit of **** talking. I'm disappointed on the nights I don't get a bit of love or a teabag.
I have taken to tea bagging my team mates when they need a rez as there hasn't been enough enemies dropping their wallet repeatedly near my corpse lately!
