AP is now being handed out in huge dollops so with a little dedication we can all be overlords in no time at all. My first reaction was oh wow look at that! Then I realised, earning a rank is going to lose its lustre now.
How sad.

Except that it already did a long time ago. If you got your Alliance Rank 9 passives in 2014 then I'll take what you have to say about AP gain seriously.

Not a lot of people care about ever reaching Overlord rank.

If you spend most of your time in PVP and don't have a lot of gold, however, there are now a lot of useful things you can buy with AP.

While I do think 6k AP for taking a keep seems a bit much, you have to consider that you would need to take 10k keeps to get to grand overlord.
So no, it's not going to make it that much easier or faster to get it. It still has much less of an impact compared to the doubling of AP gain a year ago.

well grand overlord was the last achievement left in the game anyone had to earn over long periods of time so ofcourse zenimax had to go ruine it

Notably I did not get past Captain in 2014. I knew people who did. Crazy, crazy people who invented all the crap we do nowadays. And seemingly didn't sleep - and I'm an insomniac. Well, I don't mean people like draq attaq or whatever his name was that had 3 people playing his account 24/7. But then laggsploits happened and I and a lot of other people gave up for a long time.

Can't really have a war if people don't participate. I think incentivizing people running all over the map, actually doing alliance war things, is long overdue and should be expanded. Perhaps 50% of people won't stand in the foyer of Sej or on that damned bridge all the time.

Plus, you don't want the skillless gankers getting so much more AP than everyone else, do you?

I don't think it was a bad change to be honest. Now people are more willing to spend on things like siege and repairs. As they have more to be generous with.

Has two characters in Cyrodiil.

Took 2 & 1/2 years for one of them to reach tyro
Took the other one 6 months to reach Corporal.

Not going to be a Overlord anytime soon, even with an AP boost.

As a pure PVE player, the less I have to be in Cyrodil to gain access to the PvP skill lines I want to optimize my builds the happier I am.

This was never an issue except for brand new Cyrodiil players who had no AP ...

Look for a solution like asking Wheeler to raise the amount of AP for the title . I like getting more AP to buy things and respect people that worked hard for titles . This is one way it could be corrected .

It certainly will not help me get to Overlord - my highest rank is only a Corporal.
