STEAM: Unable to launch game after Homestead patch. Clicking "PLAY" does nothing.

My wife is unable to log in after downloading and installing Homestead. Here is the situation:

She has an Alienware laptop with AMD graphics card.
She loads up the ESO launcher through Steam.
Launcher loads, we click PLAY.
Nothing happens.
Click PLAY again.
Nothing happens.
Etc.

We updated all drivers.
We used the Repair tool.
We redownloaded the patch.
We restarted her computer several times.
We verified the game cache through Steam.

Nothing works. This problem did not occur prior to Homestead Live.

No basic solutions have provided any progress, the game will simply not launch for her. I also have a Steam account and an Alienware computer (with Nvidia GPU instead), however I can log in and play just fine and have been doing so all day. If you check the Steam forums there are many people having this exact issue.

Please look into this ZOS, if you are not already. Thank you.

Steam is protecting you from this patch.

How can they be protecting from the patch? I am also having this issue and there wasn't any security issues when I logged onto my steam account. I'm going as far as reloading the game and I'll tell you 7hrs of waiting is a pain in the arse. Hell I don't even get the option to use the launcher for the repair setting. I do wish to point out though, using the steam program to "Validating" the game file. It said over 500 files were unable to be verified.

    It was a joke.

I think the patch is a mess.

Please return to your regularly scheduled program.

If it makes you feel any better i have the exact same problem, my solution is to step away from the game until they release hot fixes. That way its less frustration in your part(and mine) :)

The usual rule of thumb is to never let steam "Validate" the game files as the version steam uses from the live one are usually different,. But i am not 100% sure that is still how things are right now, but that was how they were before.

Even if the Launcher never shows up to even load updates for the game, using the repair tool, etc? Cause thats the problem I'm facing. Can't access anything for the game.
Right now re-installing the game and have to wait several hours just to see if I can at least use the launcher.

Ok re-installed the game and still dealing with the same issue. I followed the instructions from the support ticket in locating the launcher file and it does not exist in my folder anymore. W.T.H. How can a game load and not load completely. You guys do give the full game file to the Steam game engine so how can that screw up? And this is after re-installing, this is horrible management. And I've put recent money into this game to take advantage of the Homestead patch.
Attempting to install game from YOUR website, I HOPE I don't face the same issue. But do look into your support tickets and you'll see that I've provided even screen shots of the missing directory from the previous installation.
