Ran writs on my main crafter (all reagents known, all glyphs known,9/9 traits, all motifs, all recipes (including Aetheric Ambrosia)) he got 0 master writs. Ran writs on my 9 alts (a lot of recipes, 1/3 traits completed, a few purple motifs, all reagents and glyphs known) got 3 small master writs. Out of 60 writs, I got 3 master writs with a aggregate voucher value of 19.

This cannot be the "finally rewarding all the crafters out there" that ZOS promised. I understand RNG and such, I really do. But the whole idea of rewarding those that have put in the time and effort into leveling the crafts, like I did on my main, was that those Truly Masterful Crafters would have an increased drop of higher value Master Writs.

I think 70 is quite increased from PTS. From what I remember they were around 30 max. So they really did listen to that and they are giving people a lot more epic ones so they don't have to waste tons of gold mats and those still give a few writs.

I got four or five today across three toons, but just enchanting and alchemy despite doing all six on all the toons. One has pretty high research (7-9) and many of the motifs entirely done (not full on the ones left but several on those too). So that was kind of strange.

It really is nice to see though that they have adjusted and listened to what people said on the PTS. That always is very good to see. Sure a legendary will take a chunk of gold mats but for 70 writs its worth it. Down side is this still IS going to hit the gold market because more people will be buying and using those gold mats than ever before just for master writs. Hopefully they have increased the drop rate of them in the writ rewards. I got a few today so quite possibly they have.

How many writ vouchers is it for the new motif pages?
And how many writ vouchers for the target skeleton recipe and the animus stone to make it?

Wait what? I obviously haven't been paying attention properly. You need vouchers to get the target skeleton recipe? I was hoping you could just buy the skeleton outright. The skeleton is the only thing that has me interested in homestead and now I might need a ton of gold mats to get it? *grumble grumble*
Are the master writs always gold?

I believe you can in the crown store. I think it was 1500 crowns from what someone in guild chat said. Granted, I am not a huge fan of having to buy with crowns, but considering that is basically a one month sub, it's actually not as bad as I thought it could be.

Out of about 30 writs, I lucked out and got one Master Crafter Writ. Ironically on the crafter with the least amount of Motifs learned, etc.

    writ.png

At todays market prices, and taking away the gold I got as part of the reward, that cost approx 5,600 gold to make, for 18 writ vouchers.

Had I needed to buy the motif as well, that would be another 40-50k gold (presuming I could find it).

To put that into context, the only things I can buy with 18 vouchers are a Night Pumice stone (Ebon style material) for 8 vouchers, or a Hlaalu Furnisher's Document (a random purple quality furniture plan) for 16 vouchers.

Again, for context, the standard crafting tables are 35 vouchers, the target dummy 135, and the attunable crafting stations 250.

So I see all the feedback on the PTS feedback thread regarding legendary mats was dismissed or ignored.

There are way to many legendary mats sitting in people's inventory. Once that stock pile is significantly reduced, ZOS can add it t the crown store.

If thats the case then i feel like most of us are still being punished because some ESO players exploited the writs/banker bug. ZOS wanting to deplete the market of gold crafting mats only hurts those of us who did not exploit. Those who did exploit will continue laugh while happily crafting any and all master writs they get!!

I got an alchemy writ, but didn't take a picture(didn't see this thread until just now).

It required me to make a potion that would have certain attributes. In this case it was Ravage Health, Ravage Stamina, and Gradual/Creeping Ravage Health(or whatever it's called, not in game atm).

I had to make 20 of this. So, on the bright side, there's a point to having that point in Laboratory Use.

I have had four writs only craft on three chars and not all crafts on all chars.

The smith received no writs but did get two surveys past two days.

The consumables person got one alchemical writ yesterday none today and no surveys.

The one that has all crafts has received two alchemical writs and one smith writ.

The smith writ gave over 90 vouchers two of the alchemical writs gave two vouchers and one gave 5 or six vouchers. Two were for poisons the other for potions thus the difference.

The smith one was for legendary eyes of mara girdle trait infused soulshriven style...I think that was all that was on the writ.

Yes one can put them in the bank I went ahead and put it in the bank for the smith to complete as the all craft girl has not completed her traits for smith.

The vouchers seem to be per char rather then combined for account. I did not check on this further.

I did 24 writs. Got zero master ones. If I ever get some bs like legendary akaviri chest with nirnhoned trait I will just ignore it. Nothing is worth spending gold tempers or nirnhoned ingredients. Also, I still don't have full sets of certain motifs, such as celestial, yokudan and none of new ones.

I did 16 writs yesterday across 3 characters and got 4 master writs, which is a much higher rate than I experienced on PTS. (Did not take screenshots though). Making legendary items for two of them hurt a little less because I won 3 guild raffles a couple weeks ago, but even after I did all that I only got 157 vouchers, which isn't enough for anything useful.

When my luck runs out this is going to be a very painful grind.

About 90 writs across different accounts, two master writs, both alchemy for 5 vouchers each.

Of the toons, 2 have all 9 traits, 4 have almost all 9 traits and the rest everywhere in between. Of those with all or close to all 9 traits, they have most motifs (not many Draugr or Yokuda) and all but the new achievements done. Both master writs off of the high end.

If you are casual, I think you may be in for disappointment....

Edit: All one day, I was a newb and ran writs before the patch.

Bah, wrote my last post as I was finishing the last one, received an enchanter master writ. This one came from a low-end crafter with almost no motifs and low on the achievement totem pole.

Epic superb glyph of magicka for 2 vouchers... so 12 vouchers total... that target dummy is looking pretty remote atm.

  • Kevin_of_Devinshire
Out of 8 toons, x2 writ runs (I got my writs from the day before so I had those and the new days), so that would be 16 runs x 6 writs per run equalling 96 writs total. I got 1 master writ.
