I just bought the Khajiit home for 50K and am very excited to start the decorations process . I know it's not a big deal to a lot of people but for me it is huge . I feel like I have a home in the game now and am a bigger part of the Elder scrolls . As goofy as that may seem .

I totally agree. I have a home now, a base. I have somewhere to craft and test my builds...store my trophies. And best of all it's completely customise-able with an intuitive builder. I'm set till the boats sail to Vvardenfell.

I still haven't decided on the main house but definitely want Humblemud, Serenity Falls and/or Sleek Creek, Twin Arches, Hundings Palatial, Ebonheart Chateau, Cyrodillic jungle and the Orc & Nord places and possibly all the rest of them. I'm going off what houses seem to have the best atmosphere and ambient noise. Can't decide. Mathiesen big place with pond seems nice too.

A dilemma indeed...so many places. I want somewhere for each of my characters but won't be buying anything bigger than medium for the rest of them. I'm still pissed at zos over prices of the mansions and therefore the Island...but it has Argonian styling and a volcano...

Possibly the same for me... maybe even two of them seeing as though I have the appropriate pre-requisites in all three alliances and the gold to do so B)

I've purchased Autumn's Gate in Nimalten, Rift.
Only 60k gold for very nice house with a courtyard. It's not a big house, but there is enough space for skeleton-dummy and a couple of crafting stations. And there is a beautiful place whith a river and bridges and birches behind the courtyard walls. I love that place.
Also I was thinking about Veloti-Reverie in Narsis. But it's gothic atmosphere is too dark and too vampire for me. But as a Dark Elf I'll buy it later for shure.
There is a couple of very cool houses in other alliances, but I even didn't complete EP quests yet, so I can't buy a house enywhere else.
One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.

Twin Arches. It's big enough for the things I want (crafting stations, skeletons) without feeling cramped, and there's still enough space to play around with it some more. I'm not rushing it though. I refuse to spend crowns on it so it'll be a slow process. Anything bigger would be too grindy for me.

I wanted Ravenholm or -hurst or something in Rivenspire. But I will wait for Morrowind to be released. I actually hope I can live in Balmora.

Since my character is an Imperial, I looked at buying one of the three Imperial-style houses, either the Cyrodylic Jungle House (small), Domus Phrasticus (medium) or Strident Springs Demesne (large).

Even though I had enough Crowns for any one of them (even the large house, albeit barely), after previewing them I decided on Domus Phrasticus, which simply seemed just the right size.

And yes, I even spent the extra Crowns to have the house already fully furnished. :)

Update: I also recently ended up buying a fully furnished Strident Springs Demesne and made it my primary residence. :)

A positive side-effect to owning multiple houses and the free inn room is the free fast-travel between them, as well as to any of them from anywhere in Tamriel. B)

Interestingly, all three available Imperial houses, while not in Cyrodiil themselves, are fairly close to the Cyrodiil border.

I got Velothi Reverie furnished for my Dunmer :)
It feels very cozy, it has a good size, a vendor just near the entrance, and a travel shrine very near as well.
The whole house just fits my dunmer and feels right. The basement is a plus, since I have a vampire alt (need coffins!), and the courtyard is a very good addon. Quondam Indorilia lacked cozyness for me. The rooms felt innecessarily enlarged and the courtyard could use a rework. The good about Qondam are the walls and the overall appearance, but for interior layout and cozyness, I went for Reverie :) Waiting for Morrowind middle homes : ) I hope they add walls to some.

The large house in Wayrest is actually quite nice, might consider it instead of cisterns. :P It comes with a cellar and an attic, and even has a garden despite being inside the city.

As for myself, can't decide on the big ones, the manors are okay, but I don't feel like "I must have this" with any of them. I'll probably buy Humblemud while trying to decide which of the big ones should I get. It's cute and has a garden. Twin Arches is cool too, and looks a bit more... elegant than Humblemud.
