Hi guys, my khajiit magicka nightblade just told me to ask on the forums you guys, who have checked all the availiable houses on PTS, which house would you recommend her. She is too lazy to go to PTS to check them herself and also I am a casual player, so I do not have free time to go there and check them all out myself. But I know that there are many of you, who have checked it all out there. So which house would you recommend her?
I do not want to spend real money on crown store house, so using gold is the way I prefer.

Please help my khajiit to find the best house for her!! :)

This is what she told me:

"This one is very much looking forward to have a nice house. This one khajiit only goes to Tamriel few times a week, so the max gold that this one ever had was maybe 60K. Now this one has maybe 50K gold saved, but this one believes she will be able to save some more, maybe 100K or 150K would be doable for the furry khajiit.

Would you fellow adventurers be so kind and recommend khajiit the best house that would fit her bellow requirements?

So this one will aim at some small or medium house. This one likes the khajiity architecture, also bosmer and elven ones she likes. This one likes to have a house in the nature, but not so far from the city, with lots of flowers around, maybe a small river or a lake, where she could dive into during the hot summer days would be great.
This one likes the warm climate of the southern regions of Tamriel, she is not so much a fan of snow and freezy days of the north.
This one likes to have a small garden near her house too. And also, the friend of this one who would often come to visit this one, a redguard she is a very handy crafter, so if that house would have some space to place some crafting stations, that would be nice too. And if that house would have a spacious cellar where khajiit could store all her stolen treasures and attained trophies, that would be great.
This one is a very kind of relaxed khajiit, she would like to have a terrace or a balcony on her house, where she could sit with her friends and enjoy the sundown and some nice tea. Or at least a space to place a nice outdoor arbour if not a balcony or a terrace.

Would you please be so kind and recommend the cute furry khajiit the best house of her dreams :)?

Khajiit is very thankful for any advices in advance
With furry hugs
Maoimii"

A tricky proposition... most of the more spacious houses are in the chillier climes and less suitable styles.

Here's a breakdown of the ones that might fit your kitty (with links to video tours so you can decide for yourself):
    • Black Vine Villa, 54,000 gold: A spacious abode for the price, located in Malabal Tor a short walk from the Baandari Trading Post. It's a single room dwelling that includes a small yard out front... not a lot of space for crafting stations outside, but it would be a great place for a garden and a little seating to soak up the sun. And it gives you enough coin left over to afford a little furniture!
    • Cyrodilic Jungle House, 71,000 gold (Only available if you have the Imperial Edition): This one is inside the Baandari Trading post, and has a good-sized yard for gardening and crafting. The interior is a fairly small, one-room dwelling.
    • Bouldertree Refuge, 190,000 gold: This is the one my Khajiit picked, no question. Quoth her: "This one enjoys the broad, little-bit-wild yard of this abode. The house has two tree pods attached together, which khajiit plans to have much fun climbing on and inside. It is also located in south Greenshade, and while there is no water inside the yard in which to fish (or swim, if that is what your strange friend enjoys), there is much water for such activities nearby. This khajiit plans to save up much for this one, but it will be very worth it!"
    • Sleek Creek House, 335,000 gold: This khajiit-style dwelling closest fits her requests, but it has the price tag to match! Just outside Rawl'kha, it features a spacious yard with a creek and porch, and plenty of space for lazing about in the sun. The interior is one room, but why would you spend your time inside when you have such a gorgeous view from the front porch to drink tea to? I would say this one is well worth saving up for.

Once Homestead goes live, she'll be able to preview each house personally before she buys to really see if it's to her liking... but hopefully this will give her a place to start. :)

    Living vicariously through my characters.

    My Girls:
"If you were trapped in your house for, say, a year, how would you pass the time?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "I suppose I could use the break. I have a lot of business holdings now that need management."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "I think that I would enjoy writing a memoir."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "Would this one be able to go outside, to the nearby river? It's hard to fish without water!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "Who is forcing me to stay inside, and where can I find them?"
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "And why would I want to go outside in the first place? Too much to be done in the workshop."
Lorelai Magpie, breton master thief: "I'd go nuts. Lucky for me, I have a little experience sneaking out!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "I would continue my training to keep my skills sharp."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "I suppose it would be lucky, then, that I built a shrine to Mephala in my backyard."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hate being inside even when I'm not forced to be. GET. ME. OUT."
Madam Argentia, vampire dunmer aristocrat: "I suppose it would be more of the same. I have a rather... contentious relationship with the sun."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'd have to house train my bear..."
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "What Lorelai said."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one would like a rest from her grand adventures. Her jewel shop runs out of stock!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "Provided that I am confined to Artaeum, I do not think I will want for things to occupy my time."
Shauna Blackfire, redguard necromancer: "Sounds like paradise. I hate people."
Kirniel the Undying, cursed bosmer warrior: "I would feel useless, not being able to fight."
Echoes-from-Dragons, argonian who thinks she's a dragon: "All the better to count my hoard!"

Although, upon second thought... if having a basement is really something she wants, the only small-to-medium house that has one of those is Velothi Reverie (323,000 gold). It's a Dunmer-style home located in the Pact area of Deshaan. While that may be a bit chillier than she's thinking, the area is still quite bright and beautiful (with plenty of flowers among all the mushrooms). It includes an okay-sized yard, which can be rigged up to have a patio with the proper materials (as done here). My dunmer main intends to get this one, because the inside is so spacious, and, yeah, the basement is perfect for stashing away one's more... illicit dealings.

It's pricey, though, and it does come with one huge downside: the neighbors are dunmer. ;)

Just use the free one for now and visit a friends or guilds later.

I see absolutely no reason to jump in on this unless you're the person with 5k stacks of materials and 10 mil gold and a crafter

Sorry, I stuck to your price range and tried to match to your preferences. Maybe that's not what you wanted.

The best place for a cat is in the back alleys of Daggerfall. Lots of scraps to eat and close to the crafting stations and bank. If it rains, you can go for cover in the crafting areas
