PC EU or NA

Hi,

I'm normally a PS4 NA user, but have downloaded the PC/Mac version to start all over and be able to play while traveling. I'm going to start over from scratch, but am very interested in opinions on which server to choose. I'm mostly a PvE player and am looking for guilds who do end game content as well as help new (old) players with stuff like gear, etc while leveling. Have completed all HM trials on PS4 except vmol. Any and all help appreciated. Thanks.

If your only interested in pve go NA server as there is always people on at any time of the day there as the EU servers are pretty dead during the off peak hours so it's a bit harder to get groups rolling.

As someone who lives in America and plays on PC EU, I constantly play in the "off peak hours" and have never had a problem finding groups or players online. Seems to be activity 24/7 from my experience.

I play mainly on EU and I live in Aussieland. I just find the whole atmosphere a lot calmer, less toxic and abusive and far more friendly than the NA server. I always see people around no matter what time I play there.

Go with the server that has the lowest ping for you. My baseline ping on EU is 60 whereas on NA it's 150. I can feel the difference, although 150 is still very playable, but when things get busy ping goes up. My EU ping rarely goes above 150 but my NA ping can spike to 300. Both severs have very health pve and pvp populations. I believe EU has a higher population in general, but that's anecdotal and you'd never notice anyway. NA zone chat is much more active though and people are generally more outgoing, probably because more people speak the same language.

I've heard endgame guilds are harder to get into on EU, but again, anecdotal evidence.

I'm pretty sure that the general opinion in the ESO community is that PC EU is the most populated server, not sure where you're getting your sources from mate.........

Not a huge opinion poll, but seems EU is ahead. Any guilds that want an experienced noob? or is there someplace for recruiting?

    Thanks.

Agree on this one. One guild I wanted to join for said that even if I meet their DPS target, 40k without group buffs on Bloodspawn boss, I need to be max CP, currently 522 CP. They are pretty strict over here, but it returns good results I guess.

I would agree that you're much less likely to be harrassed on EU, but I've found that you're less likely to feel isolated on NA. I can put up with the occasional duel request from a random stranger with 100s more cp than me on NA because zone chat makes me laugh. Also I believe pvp is less tryhard on NA.

Really? huh, my PvP experience really differed :)
I wanted to get Vigor on a character on EU and simply joined BWB to get it. I found the people so friendly and the PvP so enjoyable that I ended up leveling my character from 10 -45 on there. I played every day and had a lot of fun.

Still buoyed up by that experience I thought I would go and get vigor on a character of mine on NA in BWB. My time there was so different and so bad that I left after a couple of play sessions. People calling each other names, abusing others, screeching a folk because they weren't attacking the keeps the way someone else thought they should be.
I gave up and decided to go without Vigor in the end.

Your mileage may vary, but I found EU so much more relaxed.
