So i havent been on the PTS this time round and housing was pretty much virgin territory for me last night when i logged on half an hour after Homestead went live.

I was ready to buy one of the palatial manors.. yes i thought 10k+ crowns a tad on the pricy side. But surely it's worth it right?

Wrong.

I am utterly disgusted that despite the exorbitant Crown pricing.. the buildings themselves are not new or unique content at all.

In fact the three manor estates (and most of the other buildings too) are exact copies of already existing Tamrielic architecture.

Youve simply made the existing frame objects and texture maps available and put an unpickable front door lock on it. Yes theres an object editor attached to it but thats it.

If you had have designed whole new houses then it would be worth it.. but exorbitant amounts of crowns for existing content is just thievery. Its not worth thousands when you do a mere copypasta job.

The AD Manor.. exact copy of the main town building in Mistral and where the cooking fire is in Rawl'kha.

The DC Manor.. exact internal copy of Daggerfall Castle and Bank.

The EP Manor.. exact copy of that hall in Western Stonefalls (forgot the name) and a few other examples.

I downgraded as a result. And even my downgraded house was still a copy of the one that sits on top of the Vile Manse..

Come on i expected better than this.
