BiS Magicka Sorc VMA build for housing?

Hey guys just curious as to if there will be any significant changes to magicka sorcerer builds for vma after the housing update? Will the ultimate reduction from 1000 to 500 change things or will we still run 5 elegant 2 illambris and either tbs/julianos? Also with the pet buffs, will we incorporate those or...? If someone knowledgable can explain that would be great! On youtube I can find no videos for housing.

If you're cheesing your way around with Overload, then that won't work. If you're relying on proc sets for surge (or just relying on them extensively in general)... sorry. Otherwise, you should be fine.

Ulti value is nerfed next patch (the amount of ulti you can store is cut in half), so it's a big hit to overload builds. Personally I just run my standard build with ward and ele drain thrown in.

Just run a pet build. It sounds strange, but it's the most safe and most relaxed build I've seen for doing Maelstrom. Cast wards here and there, with a bit of weaving. And you're all done.

Stick with elegant still. Bosses takes only 600ish to burn down, you'll get more damage anyway from cp increase etc and just burst down to 80% health and then overload. Takes 6s more is all. Not hard...not game changing by any means.

Pet builds were viable pre housing in vMA, I relied heavilly on a 9k health twilight for heals in vMA ever since they added the 'cast heal' to it. 500 ulti isn't the end of the overload vMA build either, you just have to use it more wisely and get used to maintaining ulti generation. All that said, FUNK VMA and it's hopeless loot system!

I run 2 ilambris, 5 lich, 5 martial knowledge and I slaughter in vMA. If I aint running martial either running elegant or julianos.
