a) regarding finding furnishing plans - are they on the same timer that recipes used to be on (I remember if you found a purple you couldn't find one again for like an hour and twenty minutes). Or did they take those timers out?
b) If I get plans for like a "crate" or a "desk" - are those items interactive in my house like every other crate/desk, or purple decorative?

b) Crates and desks are not interactable. The object interactions you can do in your house are:- Talk to placed assistants for their usual services
- Craft at crafting stations (attunable to sets)
- Attack the DPS dummy to check your damage
- Sit at chairs and benches, assuming there's room to do so
- Read books after you place them (note, not bookshelves... you need to find the books themselves)
- Turn lights on and off
There is no means of storage in your house. Crates, desks, wardrobes, etc. are pretty much purely decorative.Living vicariously through my characters.
