Need help with my magika templar

im currently running 5pc soulshine and 5pc spinners with ilambris im sitting at 1900 spell dmg 29 percent crit and 33k magika with 1000 recovery any advice on some new gear i i want my templar to hit alot harder then he does

I definitely prefer Grothdarr for monster set on a Templar.

Julianos/soulshine. My dark flares are amazing, I've crit as high as 18k. (Probably all broken gear). Commonly hitting 12k crits. Skoria all the way IMO. It always hits, tells you when it's coming so you can plan more burst, doesn't proc when your far way and can't hit the enemy, and oh ya looks badass

Soulshine can help some Templar Skills, it won't help all of them. Julianos would be a better overall choice I think.

Gee... and to think... on my Altmer Magplar running Julians/Magnus with Willpower jewelry... I have almost 40K Magicka, 1100 Recovery, and over 2100 Spell Damage on Staff bar and over 2300 on my DW bar and my crits are over 60% running Inner Magelight on both bars.

Hey I think I saw on Alcast's latest Mag Sorc video that we no longer need to run Inner Light on double bar anymore? I mean after the next patch.

I have not heard of any changes coming to Inner Magelight, if you switch bars and it's not on one bar, you lose Crit AND massive Magicka. If you stack all your damage abilities on only one bar, then it would work, but if you are like me and have single target on one and AoE on another, then yes, you still need it slotted on both bars.

i think i need to get my mages guild up for sure for more passives but i figured i should hit a bit hard with spinners and soulshine but it doesnt seem that way at all i might try julianos and soulshine see how that goes ionce i max my mages guild inner light entrophy dark flare radiant oppression im not to familiar with templar skills usually maining a sorc do the templars have any buffs or empowered skills ?

I haven't taken a huge look at my Templar's stats in awhile so these are rough estimates:

5 piece Aether, 5 piece Mother's Sorrow (will be swapping to Twice Born - Crit Change/Crit Damage), and Grothdarr Monster Set.

Magicka Recovery is 1440
Max Magicka is 37k
Spell Crit 62%
Spell Damage - some where in mid 2000

*Don't forget your Champion points help will damage as well.

I do use Inner Light and Entropy on my main damage bar. I would recommend using Spinner's mostly for PvP. I ran with full spinner's for PvE and saw my damage decrease.

Atm for pve bis gear is 2xGrothdarr 5x burning spellweave, 5x Moondancer (the jewelry and the sharpened swords, Spell dmg and fire glyph) sharp maelstrom staff backbar.

If you don't have moondancer swords, infallible aether swords, if you don't have that willpower swords will do, if you don't have that either torug's pact swords.
If you don't have a VMA inferno you can use a moondancer/IA staff(depending on the jewelry that you pick) or master's inferno staff. If not any of those any random staff just make sure is sharpened because... reasons

What are your jewelry enchants? And for monster helm, I'd pick grothdar or Skoria

For pvp im running 5x lich, 5x Rattlecage, 2x Skoria and 2x willpower swords.

3x Lich Jewelry - 2x spell damage - 1x mag recovery
1x Lich 1h weapon - 1x Lich Sield
5x Rattlecage body.

Works nice and takes some players by surprise.

whats yyour stats look like if i may ask i was thinking about rattle cage cause we ahve no buff for that 20 percent but u can always use pots?

You must be having hard time killing good players in PVP, Amberplasm or Kagrenace Hope is better replacement for lich set

Use heavy armor in PVP only and go for all light piece in PVE.

PVE best is Juliano + willpower + Grothdar or Juliano + Spinner + 1 kena or Juliano + mother sorrow + 1 kena or juliano + 3 piece aethar/moon dancer + grothdar

I 1vX and small group PVP in 5 light. I do just fine. The top magplars on Xbox NA are all in light armor.
