Will morrowind have content patches?

Since Morrowind is the first expansion, will we seen content added to it as it goes along? Included is the island of vvardenfell, but will other areas of morrowind open up like western, eastern morrowind and the northern islands of vvardenfell? The expansion is titled morrowind and it would be a great service if we finally got to see the western and eastern parts of morrowind in an elder scrolls game. Other mmos add new zones as content goes along, and this would add great value to the expansion

Don't know, but I think it's way too early to be speculating about that. Still 4 months to Morrowind launch and I don't think you will hear anything official regarding this til at least then.

Think be interesting to see how they handle it going forward. If we get a Chapter a year it is likely it is stand alone and does not get anything added to it. Does not prevent DLC's being in the same areas but not likely to require that have a chapter to play or people will be very unhappy again.

Guess we will only know the answer to this as time goes along. This one hopes that DLC's never require that one has a given chapter.

I just realized how long it still is before it is released. Geez man. At least I have time to farm some money (currently 60k I have) so I can buy a house in Balmora. I'm poor now and today I will not be able to buy a house so I will reside in an inn-room.

Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

Theyve hinted/teased at clockwork city being a possible future DLC as the one we get in the upgrade isnt the whole thing. I would guess and I HOPE the upgrade is required to play the dlc. Keep the game alive guys, pay that 30$ and upgrade

    That's a really excellent question.

Strangely, I hope not, as I want more places to go to when you go out from Tamriel and see Oblivion and then... nothing else. I want to go to Akavir. It's incredibly odd that there isn't anything added to preexisting zones each patch, though. Seems like it would take comparatively little work. Remember when all the delves were expanded to not just be the same boring template? I don't mean anything like that. Just more added in. Most zones have buffer space where new things could be inserted easily.

$40. And Gina said it won't be required for future DLC (until they change their minds, that is. Or we find out we misinterpreted her words).

Opps sorry. I guess thats cool for some guys. I dont see how they could possibly have a DLC in an expansion area and let people play without the expansion though... I personally dont see the issue with a 40$ upgrade once a year or so. Same as buying the new madden, or battlefield or CoD every year.

Pretty sure they already have mapped out all the zones that ESO will possibly touch on, so there is no need to change the zone sizes as they already are designed to fit in like puzzle pieces.

And Akavir in ESO? No way jose, if they ever leave tamriel it will be in another TES game that Bethesda has more control of as it would be a very lore sensitive issue and could potentially shift the direction of the franchise.

With regards to the question the OP asked I expect them to add upon the Vvanderfell expansion eventually considering the price tag they are putting on it, hopefully more quests to the zone on top of the already 30hrs, and maybe like someone else said they will throw Clockwork city and something to do with Mephala into it.
